The winner of this one will stay tied with Garland atop 11-5A-the question is,
can the Mustang D(D/FW 5A best 198.2 ypg)contain the state's leading 5A
rusher in Andre Pierce(1204 yds,14 TD's after 6 games)?

I think Sachse will be able to get some things done offensively against Rowlett, but I wonder about their defense. There could be 70+ points scored tonight. Expect a HUGE crowd (Rowlett's homecoming and an undefeated Sachse team). Rowlett should win.

Rowlett rolls in this one I believe. Sachse gets the true test vs the Eagles (sorry but North Garland was obviously not a true test)

I agree, Rowlett should roll and Sachse will get a reality check.

Great point. The only reason Sachse's numbers are impressive is because they have played some of the worst teams in the state. Thomas Jefferson, Molina, Frisco Centenial and so on, and they barely slipped by a less than average North Garland team.

Sachse is no doubt a surprise but really. Look at their schedule. Hopefully next season they'll get a few more challenging teams but I dont disagree with them playing againist those teams since it is just their 2nd year of play. One more year away I say.

The winner of this one will stay tied with Garland atop 8-5A-the question is,
can the Mustang D(D/FW 5A best 198.2 ypg)contain the state's leading 5A
rusher in Andre Pierce(1204 yds,14 TD's after 6 games)?
Im not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but if you're saying what I think you are, teh GISD comprises Destrict 11-5A...if that wasn't what "...8-5A-the question is..." was supposed to mean, please clarify

The final was RHS 24 Sachse 6.

Sachse has a good team and is no one's doormat. Kudos to coach Berhens and his staff - these kids are not playing like they are a 2nd year program. Sachse did, however, look like a team that had never played in a big game before. They will only get better. Looking forward to the Owls getting a shot at them...

Does anybody know the condition of the Sachse player taken away by ambulance? We are praying he is okay.

The actual final score was:

Rowlett 24
Sachse 6

Andre Pierce rushed for 332 yards on thirty carries and 3 touchdowns. His fourth game over 250 yards. All this against defenses that spend all week game planning to stop him......this cat is for real people! He now continues to lead the entire state in rushing at all levels.
