I'd say Shertz Clemens or Abilene. I think both of them are one step away from clicking, and half a step away from self destructing.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense...Because they haven't been tested "what so ever", then it's perfectly logical to assume they CAN'T beat a high quality opponent. :rolleyes:

That's the logical equivalent of saying, "There's a table with 10 fruits on it. Which one tastes worst of the 10? Well the only fruit nobody here has tasted is that banana, so it makes perfect sense to assume the banana tastes worst of the 10."

Clemens may very well be the weakest link on that list, but you can't assume they would pass or fail a test before they even take one. I would say they're definitely the biggest question mark of the teams on that list.

Ofcourse not!! If Lufkin gets beat out early and Longview goes on to win it or go deep i will definitely admit Longview was the better team this year. But if that happens we will still be able to drive all of you lobo fans crazy with the streak. Yall should want to face and beat Lufkin and pray they do not get beat out. That was the first thing that went through my head when I heard the Hurricane was coming your way...."I hope Lufkin doesnt get their season cancelled...then we won't be able to beat them" LOL. I know sad but it was.

But I'm ready for South Garland...I think Longview is ready for a little 2003 Revenge. :D....In our house this time

This is a better Lee team with a really quick QB then the one Euless beat (by 29 points and it took them 3 quarters and nine minutes to seal the deal, Longview did it in just under two quarters and won by 28) and wanted to be crowned champs three weeks ago...and now we get basted for it, you call them great when Trinity played them and not you call them limp when they play Longview...this is what i mean, the double standard and the hypocricy...it is a joke...Longview beat Marshall not just some 4A team Marshall a state ranked 4A team, then they beat West Monroe Louisiana's number one ranked team, then Lake highland a state playoff team last year and they are above 500 as we speak, then they beat ECA who crushed some team last week...It doesn't matter wouldn't have it anyother way...you put who you like at number one, just stop trying to hush the truth...Longview is to be a contender and it will take Southlake and the Refs to beat us...the real problem for southlake is scoring when they are inside the ten...they will find a smaller field harder to score when they have to pass...

I havent said anything about them all year. In fact, I think the only time I've mentioned Lee was to say I expected Colerain to beat them. Other than that, I've kept it to myself.
Hey, Longview people are the ones that told me 5A La. teams were like 3A texas teams..I didnt come up with that. Y'all did. Y'all said Lake Whoever was a wasted of game, not me. ECA is a 1A team. They are playing like a 1A team. They beat a mid-level 1A teams last week. They have won 1 game. ECA is nobody right now. Longview has not beat anybody to warrant just handing over any title.
I'm not saying Longview isnt good. I'm saying they havent played anybody.

As I said in another post: SLC dismantles a crappy and limping team and gets praised for having a high powered offense. We dismantle a limping team and everyone says "figures...they're limping." Double standard indeed.

Neither team has played anyone that is very good. I think Longview has played a little bit harder schedule than SLC, but not by much.

we played Marshall who has only one loss...we played west Monroe who nly has one loss...we played lake highland who crushed some team last week and the same for ECA...


if you look at the teams we played and look at what they did last season and what they are doing now will ask you to politely take back what you just said here are the teams we have played Marshall, West Monroe, Lake Highland and ECA...all non-district games top that off with the fact we play in 12-5A the district texas states as the top district in the states who has seven teams who posted a state win loss record of 18-10...we played our first three games on the road and also played the division one state champs on the road as well...No way has Carroll played a schedule close to ours...our division top to bottom would crush 5-5A...

I know everyone cant have the perfect season, but it does look like Longview is on their way to a good one. It should say a lot for ECA's coach to say that this years Longview teams is one the Strongest teams he's ever met on the field.

They had a great one last year. No shame in losing to a great team like Lufkin. As much trash talk and arguing I do, one thing is for sure...there is only one team I'd lose to and that is Lufkin. If you keep it close with them, that is a testament to how good your team is.

I hear that...Lobos 03 season makes me angry when I think about it. In that first round, no Malcolm Kelly, no Quincy Grant, a runningback that wasn't producing was still starting for some reason. The only one doing anything on the defense all day is starting at TCU as a Freshman (Robert "The 11,000 RPM Machine" Henson). Not good at all.

In 99' I couldnt even tell you who the better team was... one of my favorite games... Garland got lucky on a few key plays that ended with the win.

In 03, Garland had the most determination to win I have ever seen... one of the biggest upsets I've seen... Would love to meet Lufkin again this season or some other playoffs :). Always a great matchup :cool:
