Now that district has started what will it take for these schools to go d1 or go d2?

LP - I believe that some one other than Conroe would have to make the POs. Otherwise they are a sure bet to go D2.

As I recall, Keller, Haltom and Colleyville are larger than is Carroll. So if any two of those teams make the playoffs, then Carroll goes D-2. At this point, my guess would be that at least Colleyville gets in. Don't think Halcom can make it this season, so it is dependent upon Keller's performance.

Trinity will be D1 unless both SGP and GP are in the playoffs. Trinity is 3rd in enrollment in the district.

We will be hopeing to be in the same division as SLC! Round 2!

I think since the Dragon-mystique died off...a lot less random fans would come out this time around. That aura of invincibility is gone, and the hype wouldn't be anywhere as close as it was last year.

Keller and NW Justin are the swing teams for SLC going to D1-D2. Keller has already beat NWJ, and Central. If they beat Halron and Richland SLC is D2.
C-ville will be the 2nd or 3rd place team. D1 or D2,,,Lufkin or Trinity rematch would be a real treat.

The game, if it happens, should have its' own date and time so the people coming specifically for that game get the seats. It should be close to or better than last years' crowd at least.

What really intrigues me is the continuous improvement the Trinity defense is seeing every week. The already are one of the best in the state. Whoever they meet has to prepare for something they will meet like never before. The last two teams did not cross the 100 yard total offense mark until they were playing against the 2nd and 3rd string. The last team had 8 yards total offense in one half.
Opponents must feel like General Custer when the indians came swooping down.

Actually for Trinity and Katy to meet it would have to be in finals. LP and SLC would be semi-finals.

For SLC to go D2 the most likely hinge point is Keller. Heritage is an assumed D1 team and this leaves the remaining best possibility of the other D1 team in Keller who is 2-0 in district with all their tough games remaining. The teams that are competing with Keller are 0-2 NW and 1-1 Richland which is the most likely one to unseat Keller. All in all I think that it is slightly more likely that SLC goes D1 IMO.

Lufkin IMO will be a lock to go Div 2. Conroe IMO will definitly make the playoff's with a win over Oak Ridge.

Hopefully SLC goes D2. I actually look forward to the semi's. lol. The last game i strapped up for was the first time Lufkin faced SLC in the semi's at Waco. 33-30. Im not going to talk about that game.....ahmmm....anyways seriously though. Its turned into a goal. Get to the playoffs. Play to win. Beat SLC. Win State. Gl this season and go keller. if thats who i need to win so that we play each other again so be it. :) You cant win them all. oh and i have another question....what needs to happen for longview/lufkin rematch in playoffs? my senior year we had to beat them 3 times (round robin district + 3rd round of playoffs).

I know way am i saying its going to be an easy ride for the pack through district and playoffs. but you fix 2 things.

1) stop making stupid mistakes. good SNAPS, watch the ball, good blocks. All this is teachable prior to playoffs. Coach Outlaw is really good at instilling focus on the players. Thats all this takes to fix.

2) come out and remember that the game doesnt start during the second half. We learn to play the first 2 quarters and we'll have a good chance for a deep playoff run.

both are fixable. and im sure will be fixed as we go through district play.
