LP you guys beat us and did nothing with it. Mark this down when we crush you guys this season we will do you proud... for we will complete the task...you beat us, by luck might i add, five fumbles and we were still in that game until and interception with 1:06 seconds in the game, the score we 24-21, five fumbles and the socre was 24-21 with 1:06 to go in the game...that tells you how good you were... look you give us five turnovers and we will crush you guys by thirty at least...look you won, i wish you would have done more with beating the best team in the entire country... and SLC you best keep your eye on us. we are coming for what is rightfully Lobo possession.

i could care less if lufkin wins that scrimmage or not. outlaw could care less either. that is not his ultimate goal when he plays a scrimmage game and he has said it many times. only teams that are used to losing need to win scrimmage games so it will boost their confidence.

Ouch. So that means LV thinks that if they win the scrimmage they've won the crown as best 5A team in East Texas?

when i said the only coaches that want to win a scrimmage are the ones that lose a lot so they can build there confidence i was not talking longview. longview has a very good winning tradition. that is why i do not understand why some are making such a big deal??

Scooter is the one making a big deal out of the scrimmage. He keeps bringing it back up even trying to make an issue when there isn't one. See his thread titled "What is wrong with this guy". Nowhere did the guy mention a scrimmage yet Scooter made it an issue.

Wrong. Longview doesn't have to do anything to prove the great tradition we have. Just say the name Longview, and it gets respect. In the last several years LP has developed the same respect.

Funny. Lufkin is following in the footsteps of Longview. Just remember, we had the State Championship first(even if it was 68 yrs ago), and we also had a mean streak of domination against y'all first(14-2-2).

Wow, A scrimmage means nothing, I don't know about other teams, but I know the Katy coaches play everyone to see if there missing any undiscovered talent. Im guessing it's just a select few that believe the scrimmage actually meant something. Can't wait tell the season starts, Man would I love to see another show down between Lp and Katy. Or maybe another 97, with Longview. either way it would be a great game.

Scooter, I'm going to wear green in honor of Longview when they play Lufkin in that scrimmage. Wait, I have to wear green, anyway! :)

As much as I would like to talk trash about Lufkin I can't do it because I still think they have a better coach and ultimately, a better team. If the teams look like they're unevenly matched, I might slide into trash-talk mode.

Like last season, I wait until the games start before bragging about teams.

Scooter, Please let this go away. Your a PAM guy right? So why are you kicking around in our corner over Longview? Are you formerly from Lufkin?

I don't know why we need to respond to anything they say whether it is about last years game or our scrimmage with them in 2005. We have won 9 games in 6 years from them, as far as I am concern Lufkin did all the talking on the field and we need to let it all go as past history. The facts are there and can't be changed, all that matters in the next opponent.

The Longview Lobos are not the main focus for the Lufkin Panthers, we must first play 12 opponents and have a top three finish in 14-5A and win two playoff games before that opportunity could materialize again. Longview must go down the same road in their district 11-5A. The probablility of this game happening again is uncertain. There is a long road ahead for both teams, lets drop this and focus on something that really matters.

Does he mean the state championship they failed to regain the last 67 years? The players that won that title were born around 1920!

Ol' Scooter lived in Lufkin for a while, but he likes PAM more. I can't knock him since I want Longview and Judson to win titles every year. I lived in Pine Tree ISD as a kid and always rooted for the Lobos.

I figure May is a good time to fight with the fans of your main rivals, so I think it's cool. In the end, all the East Texas fans end up rooting for each other in the playoffs, anyway.

I know Longview has always had a good program (better than Lufkin for the most part) but his comment about regaining what is rightfully theirs was funny.

Lonny-I know we talk nice and all about our East Texas brothers and I do take some pride in the successes of Longview, Tyler Lee, Marshall, etc but when it comes down to it I have hated those teams for more than 30 years now (esp. Longview and Nacogdoches!)

He went to Diboll and Lufkin for a while that's why I know so many folks up there. :)

But I was rooting for Lufkin since 9th grade though. I still remember Sparky. Where is he now? And does anyone know where Quentin (Holman) is?

I said it before and I will continue to say it, because it doesn't seem like this scrimmage thing is going away, the majority of Longview fans do not feel that way about a scrimmage. We know it means absolutely nothing. Scooter, you seem to be the one that continues to be looking for something negative on Longview so you keep bringing up this scrimmage thing by going to the Longview websight copying the information and bringing it back to the form and posting it. Just because 5 people out of 10,000 in Longview don't know the difference between what a scrimmage means doesn't mean we all think that way.

those 2 are the best wr's ever to come out lufkin so far. sparky tried out for an nfl team and i do not know where he is now?? holman has had some trouble after hs but i think he is back in college?? i am not sure?? man holman was scary talented. sweetpea could tell you about holman and where he is now. the wr corp lufkin has this year should be the best in it's history. ej shankle wr/rb, dez bryant, raphael thomas, marcus raines, and possibly leonard hewitt cb/wr if he goes both ways. what a great and major fast, and major athletic wr core that is. not to mention jeremy claybon can get it to them with ease and if they are not open he will use his blazing speed to take off. they should be fun to watch this year when you consider they should also have a big time defense. i do not mind you cheering for the pack by the way scooter.
