Sendejo's a player for them based on what I've seen. He is a very good player. I was very impressed with him in high school. Guys like him get overlooked by the bigs too much. He's a football player, plain and simple.

Sendejo held it down with a forced fumble and 2 picks  would have been 3 if he would have remembered what ol Doug at SV would always tell us

CATCH IT AT THE HIGH POINT

Sendejo was awesome in the State Championship Game.
He played great tonight. It is great to see the Rice program get a win. i hope they can pick up where they left off last year!

I was happy for the Owls win.

On a related note, Lance Fuller (SV) had a great tackle on a fake punt last week for Tech and another tackle later on.

I thought they would blow it for sure. I have to question a coach that gets the ball near midfield with over a minute left in the half and at least 2 time outs and decides to just run out the clock. They might have at least tried to get to field goal range. He will lose many more with that kind of attitude. Pathetic.

I said it...and ill say it again. UH= OVERRATED

Seen them 2 times live, 1 on TV. They are UNIMPRESSIVE.

On top of that, their players have the nerve to get on Talk radio and virtually guarantee a win. way to Feed the flame.

In all fairness, it was more Alabama being inconsistent then UH impressive.

I like the Owls new helmets...Finally got rid of that gay :Censor:

UH wins 56-48

10 bucks says CAB (Art Brilles) gives the " Championship teams come from behind" Speal.

Embarressing for UH, but better then a loss. 48pts scored on ya, by a team that went 1-5 and known for high volume of suckage.

My dad played for Rice when they won a national championship back in the early 50's. (can't remember the year) Been pretty downhill for the program ever since. Last year, they gained respectability with Coach Graham, then lost it now again with Coach Baliff.

I've always liked Rice, but after having a candid conversation with Todd Graham (once he was back in Tulsa), it does not appear the Rice administration is that interested in competing in D-1 football. They should go D-1AA or D-2 if you ask me.

Baliff got used to coaching great talent at Texas State, a school with what I'd say is a pretty liberal admissions policy. Now he's got far less talent, but quite a bit more intelligent (overall).

Why did they hire him, especially after watching him coach in that semi-final game? The talent at SWT was from Coach Matsakis. When coach M's players moved on the team (with his players) went down hill and it is still going down hill.

how the hell can you say the cougars weren't impressive? They had 750 yards of offense! 750! Donnie Avery had 346 yard receiving. CUSA record. Not to mention Quick's 205 rushing yards. Our defense was not impressive, but they made the plays when it mattered. What wasn't impressive were the turnovers. Two fumbles on kickoffs, a pick on your own 5, and a fumble on your opponent's 1 is never good. We gave Rice 21 points and took away 7. In all fairness, Rice played very well in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but UH outplayed them pretty decisively...

The Team overall isnt impressive. and against Rice, your offense better look damn near amazing... or somethings wrong.

This year, UH isnt the team. They are on the same playing field as everyone else, maybe next year. This year, i have a feeling they go to the Texas Bowl. Hey they could end up playing aggy.

the rice d is making a run at the int d as the worst in the country. stomp on the brakes when you start bragging about your stats vs the owls.

I don't care who you're playing... 750 yards is 750 yards. I would also like to emphasize that UH had 190 more yards than UT had against this same Rice team, so I think it is safe to say that UH is pretty impressive offensively. Donnie Avery's 346 receiving yards were 4th best all-time among bowl subdivision teams. Even against Rice, who had a 7 game CUSA winning streak, that's pretty amazing.

I will still argue that when the Cougars don't screw themselves over, they can be scary good.

tu played less than a half with their starters. would you be as excited had rice played tackle football rather than 2 anywhere? and in reality, the coogs could have lost despite the wonderous 750. anyway, take care of the bucket.
