Surprises from Week 1
Rockwall's margin of victory over Garland! How good is Rockwall? How weak is Garland? Is it a result of Rockwall bringing thier A game while Garland brought their C game?
Naaman's margin of win over Sachse. Naaman is good but how good?
Looking to next week.
On the scedule the winners play each other and the losers play each other. Garland should get back on track wiht a win over Sahse. Rowlett should get on track with a win over North Garland. Rockwall will continue its winning ways over Lakeview.
The game of the week is South Garland vs Naaman. This game will have big playoff implications. If either Garland or Rowlett is the other team in the playoffs, this game might set the positioning in the D2 bracket. Naaman will have its best test of the year.
After week one, Rockwall is clearly the class of the district and will be in the playoffs with the number one seed most likely. Sacshe and North Garland essentially have been eliminated. South has a win over a playoff contender. Naaman and Lakeview have wins. Garland has a loss to the best team in the district. Rowlett has a loss to a playoff contender. South, Garland, Lakeview, Naaman, and Rowlett are in the hunt for the other three.
It starts Thursday night with two games.
