So what do all you fine sports prognosticators think?

This game should determine 24-5A district crown. On paper Ball has a better defense but Pearland's not far behind. At the same time Pearland has a better offense as long as Whitaker is healthy. This game was rescheduled but is the 3rd in 9 days for Pearland with Ball getting the most rest since the hurricane was their bye week. Since this game is in the Rig, I give the edge to Pearland by 7. I think the strong defensive teams have the advantage on the condensed schedule but Ball has the advantage with having played a regular schedule in that column. Opinions and thoughts requested as usual?

Not that impressed with Ball. They've beatern McAuthur(1-3), 4A Washington(1-4), Texas City(0-4) and Clear Brook(1-5) when they did step UP to 4A Lamarque...they loss. Pearland at home will be too much for Ball...I say Pearland by 3 touchdowns.

not by 3, it won't be an asswhippin hell we held them for most of the game and we are less than half the team Ball is. Whoever can force turnovers will win this game, Ball wins by 7.

Clear Lake is sooo lucky every year with Ball...
By the time we play them in November, all of their players are inelligible or in jail <edited by ktchamp97>. The saddest part is that if these kids could learn some discipline, they would be perrenial state contenders....

I still think Pearland will go undefeated
Pearland by 10

You couldn't be more right about Ball High. If they could hold it together they would contend every year.

On another note how did Lake fair on the grades? Small rumor going around that Geno failed? That would make Creeks life easier this week.

Plus we play Creek before eligibility runs out. Anyways, I haven't heard anythign about Geno, and im pretty sure I would have by now. More later

We'll I think I would have heard about that and I certainley hope it isn't true. If we were to lose Geno then the team shouldn't even waste the gas to go to district stadium to play football.

Its just a rumor and you know how those can be. Mostly not true, but I'm sure many will be lost to grades this week around 5A football.

If Ball plays like they did vs. La Marque, losing by 1 with 2 missed extra points, and Pearland plays like they did vs. Lake, then Ball has a real good chance to pull this one out. Although I'm not overly impressed with Pearland, they are playing at home and I think they'll continue the winning streak until the first round of the playoffs.

To the nice sophisticated person that made the comments about the ball high players i would like to extend an offer to retract the disparaging remarks that you made.I do not think it is right that you refer to a group of young men as murderers. In stereotypical whitebread style you have condemned a group of 16 and 17 year old kids that are striving towards the same goal as any other team in this state. Do you think that just because the team is predominately made up of minorities that you can make such remarks? Do you think that your own school does not have it's fair share of potheads, cocaine sniffers, and alcoholics not to mention two-bit hoods, thugs and thieves? it doesn't matter how a thug dresses or what color their skin is, a thug is a thug. I'll have you know that Ball High has many kids to major div I schools and started I might add. Ball has also had several former players reach the NFL and have successful careers. so, who are you to make such comments about other peoples children like that, huh?

Eligibility runs out Friday and the game is on Saturday. So if you play a failing student and get caught that would be a forfit. Thats the way it was explained to me but I could be wrong.

The comment was a stretch on the murderer part but the heart of the comment that Ball has awesome athletes is the truth. They have for years and as you stated many have played in the NFL and yes lots of D1 players have come from Ball. While many athletes are still being recruited from Ball, why no titles or extended playoff runs as of late? Ball High use to be one of most dreaded games for all in the district and with 20+ playoff appearances a constant contender. They have slipped from this place of power and there are numerous reasons but as many of my friends from G'Ball have stated, some of the best athletes don't even take the field (the just want the easy money as they put it). They use to have two JV squads and can barely field one. This is not the same Ball High of the 80's who owned 24-5A every year and produced the likes of Kimble Anders (KC Chiefs).

Yeah sorry i didn't mean to offend anyone, just exaggerating a point. I know we don't get a very warm reception by the fans there, they scare us! and last year, i believe (and this is only what i was told) that Ball's quarterback was suspended last year for commiting some sort of crime. So yes no offense meant.......

and whoaaaaa Coog.......
u totally just read between the lines, no where in there did i accuse anyone at ball of drinking, doing a single drug NOR did i say anythign about race or background. I understand that the comment i made was wrong, but you pushed it across the line
