Okay, so Cedric Killings just took a helmet-to-helmet and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher.
I heard the announcers say he moved his right hand early on when he got hit, but I didn't see him move an inch after the time the paramedics came out to him.
You all know how there's the tradition of clapping and cheering when an injured player walks off the field, but is there ever a situation when it's not really appropriate?
I just want to know you guy's opinions on it.
I think clapping is great when the player shows movement or walks off the field so that we know he's okay, but I also think there are situations when clapping is a bit premature. I mean, for all we know, something much more tragic could have happened. What do you guys think?

I don't mind the clapping because it's meant as encouragement to the player, even if they may be seriously hurt. I saw his feet move after he was strapped in. I couldn't tell if he was knocked out or not.

Matt Schaub was impressive! This team scored 24 points (17 on the offense) with NO rushing game at all - against a really good D.

I agree. He did force a couple that got the Texans in trouble, but overall another good performance. The Texans really need to find a tailback in the next draft. Green's good but his durability is a huge question.

Other than the injuries and the interception at the goal line, I liked what I saw today. We were playing 3rd stringers and still, we kept Peyton out of the endzone 3 times in the second half and they only came away with field goals. Johnson was out and that could have been huge but he utilized the TE's for the short game. Schaub is a leader for sure - he was composed even after he got half the field shoved in his eye and you could see the red already beginning to show (I have a 60" High Def - you can see pimples!!). Now, he's not Peyton - PM is a general out there, directing and pointing but he is doing very well for the Texans. I think they are going to have quite a few wins this year but there is still the injury factor:mad:.

they said later in the game that he had some movement in his extremities. still keep up the prayer everyone!
i think it is fine to clap even in this situation, it is a testament to his life as a player and is a sign of encouragement. we would never want the worst to happen but the crowd cheering and clapping for him should be the last thing the player hears before he leaves the field.
hey 2-1 is good (considering your loss came to the superbowl champs) i can rest (not as) easy.
Injuries are killing us...First Andre....then Green, Jacobey Jones.....get well soon guys....
