who wins it this week?last year SV sneaked by them and won21-14,and in the jv game mac won while forcing B.Hill to five interceptions.i think it should be a good game,for the first half.ny predection..SV-30 Mac-10.

Right now the SV offense is not playing well enough to blow anyone out.They did not play particularly well against COJU. But give part of the credit to a good Rocket defense. I think we will win but not by much. I think Mac is improved this year.

I also think the Rangers might've been looking a little far ahead of Mac though....kinda hard to take a 1-4 team seriously....

I don't think they were necessarily looking ahead. Judson had just come into SV's house and put it on them.

Whatever happened to the Sejo kid for Macarthur? He was mentioned on another board that he would be on varsity as a Freshman. Is he still on JV or concentrating on baseball?

I would say that the Churhill game woke up a sleeping giant so to speak. I would be very surprised if SV doesn't bring everything they have to the rest of the games in 26-5a. They will not overlook anyone else no matter who is on next weeks schedule. SV 42 MAC 14

SV always comes into form in the second half, and second part of the season. I see them winning the game, but I dont see the offense putting up 42 points unless they work on some stuff. I do see Rios breaking open this week for 100+ yards after last weeks performance.

They are not playing as good as last year, but believe it or not, they have better athletes this year. The mental part is not there yet, but after Judson it might be. If all things began to click, they will be a lot better than they were last year.

They sat the entire first half of that game and SV was well, SV. We outgained them something like 450 to 200 yards and lost by 3! SV capitalized on 5 Clemens turnovers and eighty something yards in penalties for the win. On top of that our guys came in cockier than a bunch of bandy roosters after pounding CC Calallen the week before! That attitude as well as complete lack of respect and concentration probably cost us the best chance at a state title that we've ever had. We played you guys the next year in the 99' playoffs and we were not near as talented as the year before and won 28-21 in a great game!

Hey svtakestate, how can you be so sure about you beating Clemens? SV has not fared to well when you have met us in the playoffs the last two times in 99' and in 03'! Plus we are better on defense than 2003 right now and getting better every week.

I didn't predict a victory in 99' or 03' and we won both, but in 98' I told everybody who would listen that there was no way in hell SV could beat us that year and guess what, they did! LOL

Never say never, especially when two good teams meet in the playoffs because anything can happen. I would never down play all that SV has accomplished in the past few years and would certainly never underestimate what they could possibly do this year, but don't count us out either!

Held SV to 3 and out next possession and drove down the field for like a 30 yard field goal to win it with a few seconds left on the clock. It was a great game! Typical SV football. Clemens dominated total yardage and time of possession, and SV just did there team and damm near won it! We lost to Katy 3 weeks later in the semis.

99 team was damn good we had 7 or 8 guys that could have played in college div 1, had they been in 5a at the time they still would have gone deep into the playoffs...but i know that in 03, had we gotten passed katy there was no way we would've lost to southlake carroll...katy was too damn big and too damn fast... but had our qb had a better game we could have came out with the win (credit their defense)...to be honest though i think this clemens team is better then we were in 03...just as good on defense, maybe a lil better, but a lot better on the offensive side.................RANGERS 31 Mac 7 btw ;)

I agree with you on this years team. If they can keep improving in the next five weeks, they will do well in the playoffs. We will know a lot more about how good they really are in two weeks after the SM game!
