Did anybody have an opportunity to catch the Spring Westfield game tonight. We all know the unfortunate results surrounding Hurricane Rita. And I think it would say alot about their character if despite the long layoff they could come out and look sharp. I think their as underated or at least as under publicized as a #2 ranked team in the state of Texas can be.

49 - 13 I think was the final, I had clean up duties at the end. It was never in doubt. Second string scored so don't rag about running up the score.

I posted the yardage in the scores thread above. Westfield completed 11-14 passes for 180 and 2 TD's (no picks) and rushed 42 times for 298 while holding Lee to 178 yards of total offense. Overall, a crisp butt whipping.

You know its sad...really that we have to post stats and post a disclaimer when we post score because some people, o actually I mean myround0 is insecure about his team.

That's not why I posted the numbers at all. I'm an enginerd by day, so I'm a guy who likes stats...they usually don't tell the whole story, but I find them interesting.

"running up the score"? Thie Baytown Lee team is 0-4 and was beaten solidly by Strake Jesuit and Clear Lake laid 63 points on them. Westfield hasn't played anybody worth a can of beans yet. Overall, they have a pretty easy schedule. They probably won't be tested until the play-offs unless Humble offers up a game.

We'll see.

Your right! The schedule has been easy, in fact, it's almost as easy as Katy's or Northshore's.

Sooooo Strake and Clear Lake are better than Westfield now......Strake has played...Btown Lee...St. Thomas...St. Pius....Alief Taylor....It took a "Grace of God" literally...to keep them from playing Katy. Strake beat Taylor 31-0....Westfield put 36 on them in the first half before benching all starters....what does all this mean??? Absolutely nothing....And they wont get tested until they play North Shore....and if it's anything like last year...that wont be a test either.

Except Katy did play Woodlands and Humble. Jersey Village is down this year.
I wouldn't call that too easy. You might catch some flak from Highlanders and Wildcats.
Katy's schedule got easier at beginning of district season. 19-5A is not a powerhouse this season.

Okay, The Woodlands would be the exception because we both play Humble. Preseason for Katy and district for Westfield. Outside of that one game, all three have weak or similar schedules.
