I've been in Istanbul since Monday and there's nothing to watch but BBC and the European version of ESPN. Looks like I'll be here a couple of weeks. Sure gonna miss some good games. Hope to catch you guys at the games when I make it back.
Awesome city, but it has no middle class. There's on the very wealthy and very poor. You see lots of small kids begging for money, its tough. Being a big softy I try to give some to all of them. The people I'm with tell me its just a scam, but I dont care. Hard to say no to a 9 year old girl walking around in ragged clothes begging for money. I'd rather be scammed then lose my compassion and ability to care for people.
Peace to all....pray for these people.

Istanbul was Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople.
On a serious note: It sucks that there are still so many places in the world where there is no middle class. Wish there was more we could do for them.

Peace to all....pray for these people. The satellite system in Kuwait (Hotbird) had 1100 free channels and almost all of them were crap. You didn't get any of the U.S. networks, but you'd get broadcasts of U.S. shows on a few channels. There were no U.S. sports and the best sports were on pay channels. The only thing of note on all those channels was the amount of Christian channels you could get and all of the call-in porn/sex channels, which were next to some of the Christian channels!:D
