Abilene and Southlake hold the record. A great streak still going for Southlake and fans of any team only wish they could say they are 80-2 over the last 5 years.

I bet it will be a long time for another 5A (or 6A) team to get 49 wins in a row.

They share the big school record with Carroll at 49 consecutive wins. When another 5A (or future 6A) comes along and wins 50 in a row, that team will then hold the new record fpr most consecutive wins in the largest classification.

its shared for now. and i think it will be shared for a long time until there is another dramatic change in the game (intro to west coast offense as opposed to power I and wishbone). until there is some amazing new idea and someone out there perfects it, i dont think there will be a 50 game win streak. but if there is a team that can do it, its southlake
