This week has a lot of good games lined up in 8-5A.

Plano(5-0)(2-0) @ Allen(4-1)(2-0)

This districts biggest matchup will take place at Eagle Stadium at 7:30 pm. The Wildcats just came off a big win, smoking defending district camps Plano West 45-7. The highest score so far that Plano has allowed is 14 points. 8-5A's top running backs will face off at this game. Allen's Charles Opeseytian(jr.) leads the district in rushing with an impressive 4 TD's in the first half of the last game. Plano's Justin Jordan is right behind him. A key thing Allen needs to work on is passing because Plano has not allowed a single rushing TD this season. Last game Allen probably passed for less than 75 yds. They should have practiced passing in the 2nd half instead of bringing out the second and third string and allowing Lewisville a higher score.

There's nothing I hate more than picking against my own team but Plano looks too good this year :( . Don't get me wrong though, I would much rather win this game than make my Pick 'Em score go up.

My pick: Plano

Plano East(2-3)(1-1) vs. Plano West(3-2)(1-1)

This great game will take place at John Clark Stadium. Plano East just came off an embarrising loss to FM Marcus 14-6. Plano West was also upset by Plano. Plano East has one of the best defenses I've seen this year alowing an average of 16.4 per game which includes SLC and Garland. Their offense will need much improvement if they want to win this game. Plano West lost by 38 points in their last game so they will working more on their defense.

My pick: Plano West

Flower Mound(4-1)(1-1) @ Flower Mound Marcus(3-2)(1-1)

Another cross-town rivalry will take place at Goldsmith Stadium on Friday. Marcus just pulled off a 14-6 win over PESH while Flower Mound shut out The Colony 31-0. Flower Mound's only loss this year came to Allen by 3 points. Marcus's 2 loses came from 4A powerhouse Ennis by 4 points and from defending district champs Plano West by a TD in OT. Both teams have very good QBs and WRs which makes this game an offensive battle.

My pick: Flower Mound

Lewisville(0-5)(0-2) @ The Colony(0-5)(0-2)

This game decides who wins their first game of the season. Lewisville is probably the best 0-5 team in the Metroplex right now. The Colony has home field advantage but I don't think it will be enough.

My pick: Lewisville

i agree the bigest matchup yet for 8-5A district, i wish i could make it to that game but i live too far away :( , still the eagles can pull this off if they get the passing game going and if the defense is on target like they usually r
