I read this article about the differences between what punishment was given to Wilson and to Billichick.
It kinda sounds like Wilson is being a crybaby, but at the same time, I agree that there is an inconsistency. What do you guys think? Wilson gets a 5 game suspension, and Bill gets none.

There's so much wrong with this, it's hard to focus. At the end of the day the commissioner decided to suspend an assistant coach for 5 games and fine him one third of his salary. His sin? Taking a performance enhancing drug in order to cope with the effects of diabetes & to help his erectile disfunction. The only thing he saught to improve was his personal life. I understand it's a perception thing but Goodell screwed this up. Moving on to the always miserable, Bill Belicheck. This man was told by the league, along with the rest of the coaches in a seminar this off season, that the sidelines were to be cleaned up. Under no circumstances would the sign stealing or equipment manipulations be tolerated. How does the most successful coach currently in the NFL respond? In the first game of the season, he goes out and does exactly what he was told not to & cheats the game, during a game. To me that's dangerously close to Vick lying to the commissioners face. Talk about arrogance, let's not forget that he did this in a game with his former defensive coordinator who is well aware of how he operates. The intergrity of the game was compromised & how did the commissioner deal with it? Staring down the big coach & the 3x Super Bowl champs, he wet himself. He blinked, bottomline. No suspension and a fine that is just less than one tenth of his salary? For cheating the game in a fashion that had some level of real impact. Nothing compared to a juiced up qb coach, right?

I completely agree with you. Bill should have been suspended at least 5 games to match Wilson's punishment. I think it should be more, but at the very least, 5 games. To me, an 8 game suspension would have fit Billichick very well.

I think the allegations are going to get worse before the smoke clears on this deal. Is anyone really surprised that the Pats cheat. Anyone remember the playoff game against Oakland when the snow blower came on the field and cleared it off for the winning field goal. ( I hope I am remembering that right)

They thought they were the new America's team...what a bunch of reprebates:Censor:
