Good for R. Goodell. I'm glad to see him take a hard line with the Coach and Franchise for their actions.

I'd of liked to of seen them forfeit the game as well.

This still doesn't sound tough enough though. Possibly the biggest fine/punishment we've seen in a while but still....I feel its lacking.

Not hard enough IMO, but that's still good. A first round draft pick taken off the board when they make the playoffs, which they will.

Half a mill. to Billicheat is no biggie - Kraft will eat that.

Should have made Billicheat stay en communicado for one month on top of that - I would have been happy.

Cheaters.

Which draft pick did they lose? Their first one?

Yes...if they make the playoffs...
Otherwise second AND third picks....

They still have one 1st rd. pick that they got from SF in the deal that landed them Moss. He should have taken both of them.

It is the largest fine in NFL handed out to a coach. 1/2 million to him, and 1/4 million to the team.

What I like about it most of all, is that this will follow BB from now on. So many bandwagon NE fans think he's the greatest ever. I think he thinks he is as well. It was obvious he knew what was going on, and tried to say that they never used video eveidence to gain an edge during the course of a game. I'm not buying it.

1/2 Million is nothing to those guys. 1/2 million is nothing to some COLLEGE coaches.

I say we go the route of F1 and fine them $100,000,000  haha jk I realize no college coach has that much

Now that's a fine for spying.

yea well they had a 700 + pg report with the entire schematics of ferrari's car

so if you take into consideration of how much it cost to build that car then put in a punishment for their cheating 100 mill makes a little more sense

It'll totally eliminate Mercedes' income from F1 and Mercedes is ineligible to win the Constructor championship (now Ferrari wins).

No suspension means this is crap. It looks good as it scrolls across a ticker and the dollars get people's attention. Fact of the matter is the offense demands a suspension. Please explain to me how an assistant coach gets a 5 game suspension & is fined a third of his salary for taking a drug to help fight diabetes & eredtile disfunction on his own time but the world's most miserable person, Bill Belicheck, is told not to do something, does it anyway & loses less than 1/10 of his salary and no games. So we punish a crime that has absolutely no effect on a game and had nothing to do with the league but Belicheck can cheat the game during games? Do I have a grip on that? Spare me the higher standard spech with regards to Wilson. Before any of you Patriot apologists pile on know this. I am not one of the fanatics that says this taints everything. Goodell has worked so hard at setting a bar & being consistent with his players it baffles me that he's blown it with regards to his coaches.

Because Roger Goddell is incompetent. The Cowboys coach should never have been suspended.
