Trapper Keepers kicked all kinds of ***! The only good thing about going back to school was that I got to get a new Trapper Keeper. One year, I had a Transformer Trapper Keeper with Optimus Prime on the front and I would have kids in the halls bow to me because of that thing. It matched my Transformers lunch box with the cool Bonecrusher thermos.
My best friend had a really cool one that same year, but he tried to claim it was better than mine. We fought all year long over who had the best Trapper Keeper. We ended up going through school and graduating together, but we never spoke again to each other after the year of the Trapper Keeper dispute. Of course, he bit me that year, so our friendship was pretty much gone anyway.

That's cool...
Don't know if you have heard the story yet or not...
I told it once before...
But in '83 we had our class play right?...
It was all about anti-gang....and really cheesy...
But in the middle of the skit...they had a rap scene....
So I was all over that right?
They had 2 members of Run-DMC...
I was a shoe in for the third person...
but nooooooooooooooooooooo
They wouldn't let me rap....why?
Because I am white....
I will never forgive them for that sh......
I ended up being an extra...
walkin' across stage with my tight *** parachute pants on...
hatin' everybody...that was just wrong...

I vaugly remember being a dancer in a school production that featured a very embarassing rendition of MC Hammer's 2 Legit 2 Quit. The sad thing is that my whitness shows when I dance, hence the embarassment. The parachute pants were kinda cool though. My Mother used to call then "seven day poopers" because they were so big you take a dump in them for seven days before you they would fill up. I never tested that theory.

I had the lead role in our 1st. grade play. The charachter had the name of Peter. I tried to get out of it because of the grief I would get. It was bad enough having the name John in the first grade, I was also called Johnny back then and the local portable toilets were called "Port-O-Johnny", so you can only guess the grief I got, but I sure didn't want the extra grief of being Peter in the play. I didn't get out of it and those little punks called me versions of Peter through the 6th grade.
Hence, I didn't take drama in high school, didn't need the grief. :D

I had no clue you were from Beaumont, I have a s*load of kinfolk there. Also have a lot in Buna, if you know where that is. Wide you're definitely a lot cooler in my book since I now can call you my somewhat coonass brother.

I think they're gone like your brain. You joined the Navy around 1992, so I'd say that's probably when your brain left! :p

We had some cats walk through here a few days ago and I said to the other guys, "Hey, it's Run DMC!" They had the Run DMC weight, clothes, and glasses.
