Just 15 more losses from Cleveland, and The 'Boys are guaranteed the first pick in next years draft. :D

I think they stand a good chance of a top 5 pick either way.

It will be interesting to see what they do with it. Their lack of depth in certain positions really showed up last night.

I'm leaning toward taking the LSU or OU secondary - straight up - all 5 guys.

lol that would be nice wouldn't it?! I think Dallas should definitely take a WR and CB in the first round with their 2 picks. Depending who is available to pick from, take a CB first. It is obvious that the Cowboys have good young talent at WR, but absolutely no depth at CB behind Newman and Henry.

I think our chances are pretty good. Cleveland is horrible anyways.

Don't get me wrong, McFadden is awesome, but I am just a defensive minded person I guess. I hate that if we lose Newman or Henry to injury, then our secondary is going to be one of the worst in the league. We need some major help with the depth at CB. Something tells me Jones wont walk...I don't know why, but I think Jerry Jones resigns him.

That's been a top 5 pick 6 of the 8 years they've been back in the league.

As long as the Browns pick is top 5 & McFadden is healthy, that is exactly what is going to happen with Jones & the pick.

I hate that the Boys did nothing to address the db situation this offseason but we've had enough #1's spent on that defense. Jones will not be back, barring an 1600-2000 yard effort. That's not going to happen. McFadden has the same electric, all- purpose talent that LT has & he happens to be from Jerry's alma mater. This draft will be all about scoring McFadden & bringing in some fresh talent in the defensive backfield/wr corps. If Hurd & Crayton shine this year the focus will be McFadden, db's & interior lines.

D. Mac and Barber in the backfield! BRING IT BABY! I like that a lot. I had that very conversation with an Ark grad the day of the draft when we got the pick.

Thus, that is why I'm rooting against Cleveland every game. His health shouldn't be an issue, he's young and very strong, but you never know what will happen between now and draft day. AP missed a ton of time with his ankle last year for OU, and we all saw how he performed in his debut yesterday.

They do need a top shelf db, but no way they should pass on D. Mac if he is still on the board when they go on the clock.

If you like the way Romo is developing now think about what he'll be able to do with McFadden lining up behind him. A player like that has to be accounted for at all times. That attention will free up others significantly. Play action? Does the defense bite harder on a fake to Jones or McFadden? Exactly.

No doubt.

Wow, I remember getting hammered for saying the Cowboys made a good deal on draft day by passing on whats-his-name and getting the Cleveland #1. Was told I'm an idiot. Don't look so stupid now...huh?:D :D :D

I was with you 100% on that trade. That's the best draft move Jerry's made since Jimmy left. If in turns into a top 3 pick it might work itself into one of the best moves ever for the Boys. Jimmy's days included.

Ya, just short of dealing Herschel Walker to the Vikings in exchange for three super bowl titles!! :D :D

You didn't hear it from me. I was happy that they got that pick because me and my captain knew the Browns were going to be horrible.

That was a deal that was combined with other deals to get the 3 titles. Don't forget they already had Irvin and Aikman. They gave up money for Haley and Deion. I think they got Novacek off waivers. Now, they did draft Emmitt by giving up a pick from the Walker trade and they got some other guys off that trade, but there was a lot more to winning 3 Super Bowls than trading Walker.

I thought they had Irvin and got Aikman and Smith, but I am probably wrong. They also got Darren Woodson out of the deal. He was one of my favorites.

I was ready to throw a party when the Boys made that deal with Cleveland.

I thought Aikman came in that deal too! I know Woodson and Smith did, and of course, Irvin was drafted by Landry. If I'm not mistaken, we ended up getting a good corner in Kevin Smith out of that deal also. Smith played like an all pro before that injury.

Not quite working out like you guys envisioned. Pick around 15-20?
