Rattlers humble the Matadors!

Ahhhhh How sweet it is? Who used to say that old schoolers? Was it Jackie Gleason? Don't recall. We beat Seguin after a heartbreaking loss in overtime last year where it was my kid who couldn't convert the crucial 1st down with 4th and 1..... :( Yesterday was a perfect day. My dad flew in from Baltimore to see this game, my son was homecoming senior prince, he scored two touchdowns, rushed for over 100 yards and almost my entire family was there to see it first hand as we beat Seguin 21-0 This is the stuff that great memories are made of!! Had to share it with you guys!! :D Somebody is going to get their feelings hurt when we play the Buffs(Schertz Clemens)and this time....this time....it won't be us (momma talking a little smack) ;)

Dont get me wrong, San Marcos is a good team but we are ready for em. Everyone says we havent played anyone good yet so we are gonna silence the critics when the Rattlers come to our house and see just how good the Clemens Defense is.Coach has had us bustin our butts out in the 100+ degree heat and I guarantee not many teams have had full length practices with as much intensity as we've had these last few weeks. Sorry guys but we're gonna be district champs again. Watch out playoffs here we come.

Wow, those Buffs sure are working hard! San Marcos hasn't practiced in a month, I think they have one scheduled for two weeks from Tuesday. :D

Good game by you guys and congrats, you guys should get second in the district now because you aren't beating the Buffs.

I was sickened by the way Seguin played Friday night. First of all, I am not one to usually get on coaches but the game plan Carson and defensive coordinator Hartman put together was terrible. If you were there, you understand. They put in a complete new defense for this game and were getting eaten up in the first half. They go back to their original D in the second half and they pretty much contain SM. I would elaborate more but I am running short of time; I have class.

Other than that, Seguin was just sloppy. Penalties helped SM maintain drives all night. One example was when SM was up 7-0 and Seguin gets an interception that stalled the drive but they committed a penalty so the interception was negated and SM ended up scoring to make it 14-0. There are many more examples but I don't care to talk about it much... :mad:

Anyways, that was a tough game to swallow, not because we lost, but because of the way we lost. Once again, congrats, and good luck against the Buffs.

Congratulations on a big district win. We will be ready for you in two weeks. If you are going to beat us you better hold us to under 14 points or have one heck of an offense because our defense can get it done. Once again, great job.

PS make sure to tell your son and the rest of the Rattlers to strap their pads on extra tight for the game with us, because it's going to be a hard hitting, dirt eating, ground it out game!
