Pretty big break for the Chaps tonight. Austin High beat Austin Bowie 17-14 (if i'm not mistaken). This is a break for them because, Bowie is the biggest school in that district, and Westlake is the 2nd biggest. Bowie usually makes the playoffs, which usually bumps Westlake down to division 2. If everything pans out like it could, Bowie would have to play Westlake adn Hays (both of which would probably be losses) and that bumps them down to three losses. Can three district losses get you in the playoffs in 16-5a? If not, then i will wish Westlake good luck (and call them lucky), in the division one bracket of the playoffs.

Bowie's already lost to us--we played the first week of district play. I think we and Hays will probably make the playoffs (Hays beat Austin High and still has to play both us and Bowie). Austin High still has to play us, but if they win over the others, they would have only 2 losses. Bowie still has to play Hays. Even if they beat them and win all their other games, if Austin High does the same, they'd get the playoff berth because they beat Bowie.
It'll be an interesting season.

Yeah my main point was the division 1 thing. God i wish for one year that Round Rock, and Stony Point (not happening ever) would make the playoffs, so us or pflugerville could go division 1. I just wanna see how we would fair.

Who's gonna go D-1 in 15-5A? Do think that Cedar Park or Westwood will make a run? One of them has to. I'd say Leander and P'ville for sure but the D-1 team will be the third place team, unless Stony Point can work some magic. Bowie's done. They played very poorly vs. Austin High, only a week after an inspired game vs. Westlake. Westlake gets everyone's best, I guess.

Its tough to say who will go d-1. When you look at it now, most likely it will be Cedar Park, but If McNeil wins out (except for Pflugerville in week 10) then three losses might get them in. Cedar Parks loss to Westwood in the first week of district really stuck out ot me. Westwood's loss to Stony Point this week really stuck out to me. They will not make the playoffs. Its still between Cedar Park and McNeil. Last year McNeil had 3 district losses and it got them in. But for this to happen Cedar Park will need to lose to three of these teams....
Round Rock
Stony Point
Georgetown
Leander
Pflugerville
It'll probably be Cedar Park that gets in.
