what happened to the state champs?????

kind of strange last night that 3 of the state champs from last season lost.....Gilmer(Daingerfield), Kilgore(Marshall), Tyler Lee(Rockwall)......i thought it was really odd because i started a thread awhile ago about seeing these 3 towns together on a highway sign........kind of spooky.........................

That's why we play the games Bleed. I knew Marshall was going to be a tough test for Kilgore, they only won 7-3, so the game was probably VERY good on the defensive side. One play and Kilgore could've won it probably.

Rocwall I knew would be a tough test for Lee. I know everyone probably thinks Rockwall is a doormat for this district, but I just had a hunch that they'd give Lee a run and they did. They stopped Lee on 4th and goal from the 8 i believe....if not closer. They stepped it up like they did against us. Rockwall will be licking their chops waiting to come into Lobo Stadium after Lee. But, first we have to get past Lee. Lee is down this year, and the Lee fans can't deny it. Yeah, they lost 3 before they won state last year, but they didn't get dominated like they have been. They are questionable to even make the playoffs right now. They will have to play lights out the rest of the year and pray they get any tie-breakers that might come up.

I am not familiar with Gilmer or Daingerfield, but Daingerfield has historically had very good, tough teams. I am not going to comment much on that game, except good win for D'field, and tough break for Gilmer. You have to come ready to play. If you aren't ready, and don't pick it up, you will lose.
