Longview-Tyler Lee...I have been very vocal about the Longview Lobos...They play Thursday night on FSN, I can take it, so if they play badly, then bring it my way, however, all I want is for you to tune in and watch the game, the more viewers we get the better our chances becomes of getting a couple of games a season on Television...Like I said, if the Lobos play bad, bring all your barbs. If they play well, then you all can see what I have been talking about...Please tune in, do it for the state, if nothing else...And tell a friend as well...I am sure states close to the Texas border can get the Fox Sport Network...

We've beaten 4-1 Marshall. We've beaten 4-1 West Monroe. We've beaten 3-2 Lake Highlands. We've beaten 2-3 Evangel. We've beaten 4-2 Mesquite. We've beaten 3-3 Mesquite Horn.

Hey wait... I know that yall have too though because were using Rose Stadium and your could be right about like last year game too but I am not too sure about that one. Ok.....anybody get that/ I know playing in Rose is tough, especially against Lee. Lee will need the extra practice it looks like. They'll be hungry. I have described them as a wounded animal backed into a corner...because what they are right now. They lose, the go to 0-2 in district, and that will be tough to overcome. Good luck to both teams, I hope it's a clean game and nobody comes out injured.

Just because we're on the road, doesn't mean the Lobos will be intimidated. The fans will be there supporting them, and we've won handily on the road several times already. Doesn't matter where the game is played, if the Lobos play the way they have been, they will win it.

REL told the world they weren't the same team when the season began...don't act like they just fell off after they played Trinity...you Dallas Metroplex people are so wrapped up in promoting your teams you forget about the rest of the teams who play in the plex...you slated Duncanville like two or three and the same for garland...it is amazing, REL is doing exactly what they told everyone they would do, struggle...yes they won a title last season, that was last season...

Didn't you know? SLC, Euless, and the other Metroplex teams are the best teams since sliced bread? I though you knew that? Yeah, right. Ok, now back to Earth. SLC is beatable, and I think they will get beat this year, if not in district, then in the playoffs. And I wonder how many of their "fans" will disappear if they are totally demolished in that game? I will be watching it for sure. REL will for sure give it their best effort, they were in the game with us (Trinity) until they fumbled on the one before halftime. That changed the momentum and we all know what happened after that. I will be pulling for the Lobos since I haven't gotten over REL kicking our butts in the semis last year. I think REL made a HUGE mistake going to Ohio. Many thought REL was a top 2 or 3 team in Texas when the season began. Even the best teams are working to find themselves and get the kinks out before district play starts. With all of the hoopla in Ohio I believe the trip (combined with the loss) was horrific for REL. They lost focus, preparation time and it was a huge distraction. Then they had to come right back and play Trinity.

Regarding your comments about Duncancille and Garland, I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I didn't slate them anywhere.

Definately not close to being the team from last year.That's exactly my point. Almost every team has room for improvement in the first few games. SLC was average or even poor in some areas in the first three games. Now, with a few games under their belt, SLC is playing great. I think REL lost important preparation time when they went to Ohio. The mental aspects and confidence are huge in high school football. That is where REL suffered the most in my opinion.

I do not need to watch the game to know how good Longview is!! I know how good they are and i know what they are capable of. They just have a choke factor to them when it comes to the playoffs but this could be their year who knows?? This game will be ugly with Preston or not Preston at Rose or not at Rose. I will watch but i am sure i will not be surprised. Great offense that will slam it down your throat and a very fast hard hitting defense. I say 42-7!!

I guess he is telling us "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" LOL. You know it doesn't really matter where you sleep and what country you have been in and who you are not scared of. There are many on this forum that have been in deserts and foreign lands and I am one of them but I do not use that to make it seem like I am some tough guy who is not scared of presidents etc. I can see his point an what he is trying to say but in the end it does not prove anything other then he want's Longview's stats to seem superior to SLC's or anyone else he seems to think stacks their stats by keeping starters in longer then Longview. All I can say is WHO CARES? That does not change the fact that Longview has a GREAT team this year and has a very good shot at winning it all. When Lufkin won state we had some good stats but there were a lot of other teams that had far greater stats then us but as we all know, STATS DON'T WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. So regardless of what the stats show Longview is still a great team and they don't need the impressive stats for me to be impressed with their team.

Lobo fans just need to settle down to tell the truth. I know I've been one to get into it with the Lufkin fans before. But we both have very good ball clubs. We have know each other way to well not to know that. Longview vs Lufkin is a rivalry that continues to grow even though we're not even assured to play each other anymore (which I definately think is good because it's a rivlary I never want to see end). But we still have 4 games to play, while Lufkin has 6. Lobo fans need to worry about Tyler Lee right now, well not worry but concentrate. We have a long way to go to get to the place where we ALL want to get so lets just concentrate on Lee right now and let Lufkin do their thing, as we all know they will whether we like it or not.

We have the team, we always have. Lets just see if we can do the things to win it all this year. We have the shot. We have the talent. We have the coaches. We need to win 4 more games before worrying about it.

Good post. You all do have a GREAT team. Some of your fans are ruining most of Lufkin's respect for Longview (fan base) but we all have ALOT of respect for the TEAM. But I guess the same could be said about some Lufkin fans. But like I said earlier, Longview has a great team and who really cares if some other teams stats are stacked and why their stats are better then Longview's. That does not make Longview any less of a team. They are a great team......PERIOD!!!

The reason you don't think Lee was a top 3 team last year was because of the effects of their trip to Ohio this year. We have a broken record on this site by the name of SLC Dad. I think people a putting to much into why Lee isn't real good this year. They are small and slow on defense, and the offense can't pick up the slack.

I must say I was surprised by the Rockwall game but not shocked. Rockwall is a big school in a rapidly growing area. Reminds me of Katy when I lived in Houston 10-15 years ago. They have a good coach and Lee makes a ton of mistakes. Lee would have to play error free to beat Longview and they have not come close to doing that this year.

I certainly didnt mean to belittle last year's champs but they did lose to Lufkin and Longview and I feel that they would have lost to SLC, Abilene, and SV. Just my opinion. Still a great accomplishment winning state.
