I have to be honest. I havent kept in touch with Plano the past few seasons. But, this Plano team is making noise and is looking pretty solid hitting the midway mark of the season.

Do they have what it takes to make a long run into December ??

Plano looks legit so far this year. I'm very impressed by the 5-0 start, and interested to see how far they can take it.

According to the mock bracket, they would see ET in the 2nd round!

Their game against Allen will show us a little more. I was surprise how bad they beat Plano West!

they will win by at least 20. allen will have no defensive answer for plano's speed and determination.

The last time Allen lost a district game by 20+ points was 1998...I don't think it happens next week.

losing by 20 once every 7 years isn't too bad. there's heck to pay this week for all these kids have suffered thru. the eagles aren't going to be the onliest team to take a beating. pesh will be looking for a running clock in the fourth qtr.

Plano wins a close one. Allen is deserving, but Plano is destined this year.

Plano 35
Allen 21

They have the "mercy rule" in Arkansas where if a team is up by 35+ in the second half the clock keeps on a chuggin. I hate it  .

You guys have a mercy rule? Wow!

Out of curiousity, how does Arkansas football compare to Texas? You know it's tradition here......and there are God knows how many National Elite programs here!

Just wondering about Arkansas!

Well, I've only seen two games(I came up here for the college, but I miss Texas highschool football.) So I wouldn't say "you guys :D " I don't consider myself an Arkansan/Arkansawyer/Arkie.

Springdale is the real deal this year. They could probably compete w/ the tops in Texas this year. If not they could at least beat most of the second tier this year (Plano,Irving Mac, Judson, Woodlands etc)

Not surprised by their 5-0 record. I am surprised by their margin of victory. They finally have a half way decent passing game 10 to 12 passes a night is all Plano needs to keep teams off balance on their running game. They have good senior group who have taken their lumps. Started coming on as a team last year when they lost to Allen by 1.

I can see them running the table and going 10-0. Only drawbacks is they are thin at QB. Coach Brence I guess doesn't believe in playing back-ups much in pre-season to gain experience. If QB goes down which is a possiblity due to the amount of QB sweeps and options they run they will be in trouble.

If that happens, just switch to a Single Wing with Jordan back there ;) .

Heck, they can just put their best defensive back in there. The last two times they went to the state championship game, they put two defensive backs in at QB at the end of the year and thru the playoffs, Mike Nelson and Scooter Asel.

They just need an athletic kid that can run in there.

Cool!!! But I wouldn't say Judson and, most definitely, PLANO is second tier! But I understand what you're saying!!

I put very few teams on the top tier. Its for like the top 5 in the state which are IMO
SLC, Trinity, Katy, Longview, and Westlake, in other words teams that people are already talking about in respect to a championship.
