Coppell who played with out stand out running back Emmanual Moody almost upset now 5-0 Irving MacArther...
Coppell led the entire game, only twice being tied with Irving MacArther...with 45 seconds remaining in the game Coppell's Marty Zartie went for the game leading field goal. Irving MacArther Blocked the 40 yard field goal attempt and ran in back all the way for the touch down...
Final Score Irving Mac 24 Coppell 17
This was by far the best ive seen Coppell Play all season, even with out Moody who i think carried the ball 6 or 7 times for maybe 20-30 yards...
Coppells Jr QB who has had knee problims early in the season returned to night throwing for the games first 30 yard TD, bu tthen left the game and went to the Hospital after injurying his right arm...Coppells Defense played great and a couple times stoped the Irving offense from scoring inside there own 30...Coppell Defense had 5 or 6 picks on the game...
GOOD GAME COWBOYS, way to fight till the end :)

TOUGH LOSS! I was pulling for the Cowboys to beat MacArthur.

Man I thought they were going to pull out in the end...what away to lose...but the Cowboys proved Moody isnt the only player on the Team that can play...Nate "Bone Saw" Blackwell threw the ball very well after starting QB Kenny Graves went down...Blackwell is the guy ive been pulling for since midway last season after Danial Raudbaugh started to do badly...He was the third string QB last year. Tonight he threw for at least 100 yards and a TD with 0 picks

I don't know whats gotten into Mac. I can see them on the outside looking in for a playoff spot if they don't kick it in gear. Irving is licking their chops Friday night after losing last night.
Now for COPPELL... I was reading the box score and noticed that you guys outgained them in total yardage, less turnovers, and more rushing yards. This being the first tight-end pound the ball game that Mac has faced this year must have gave them troubles. I don't know what went on, how you guys didn't finish drives or something, but with all those yards 17 points is surprising. I would expect more. Now Ron Brooks blocked two field goals against us last week so your coaches should have seen that on game film. Even if they did I don't know how you can stop him, what can I say, he is an animal.
I don't know, but it seems like in each of Mac's past 4 games they have stepped up when they really needed to, and layed back and relaxed when the game wasn't on the line. Sealing the deal against Allen... coming back down 20-0 against Allen, making two red zone stands against us last week and only scoring spoon-fed touchdowns, and this week blocking a field goal. They need to play for 48 minutes and not 3 in their next game, against SGP, and Trinity if they want to, given SLC goes Division II, avoid a November 12th meeting with the Dragons.
This was exactly like our game against Flower Mound. We held a slight lead for a good chunk of the game only to watch it go down the drain in a span of 20 seconds due to our mistakes. It hurts losing a game this close to a team with the abilites of MacArthur. It wasn't fun at all.
With 4 and 7 point losses respectively, the October 21st matchup Bell vs. Coppell has gotten more interesting(I imagine that the Cowboys will win their next against Grand Prairie).

Hate to say it BHS, but most likly it'll be Either Coppell, Bell, SGP, or Irving or Irving Nimtz try to get into that 3rd Play-Off spots, that means its one of us playing SLC in Bi-District Play..
Coppell was able to throw the ball pretty good tonight...and there our defense was going crazy playing better then theve played in YEARS...
Moody didnt really play a factor, who needs moody anyway?

Im looking forward to your 6-5A report this week

I don't know, this next week in 6-5a is as big as it gets. Trinity/GP is the only game that doesn't matter. The rest..
Irving/MacArthur: Loser can kiss district title goodbye
Bell/SGP: Loser is on the outside looking in for playoffs, winner in good shape
Coppell/Nimitz: Loser can say bye bye to playoffs.

As ive said before, 6-5A will have at least 1 team with 3 or more loses in the play-offs...just like last year. But this is a BIG game for BOTH SCHOOLS...same goes for LD Bell...if LD Bell loses this week BUH BYE

Exactly. Not only is beating SGP critical for a playoff spot, its also critical for our biggest game of our lives against Trinity. We have to be going full steam ahead into Trinity to have a shot. Seeing what Nimitz did to them early tonight, I think we have a chance... we just got to beat SGP to have the confidence level it will take.

BHS06 you know ive respected you alot recently, but I think your mad if you think your going to beat Trinity. Coppell and LD Bell are eqaul, and will be fighting for that last play-off spot with Irving/Irving Mac

Everybody seems to look at Trinitys game with GP as worthless, but this showed that we cant jus come out asleep. After they recovered the pooch kick however we were a house of fire. Much like BHS we need to improve on this week mistakes in practice so they wont show up next and we can have momemtum going in to the BIG clash with Bell.

I know you want to not "overlook" GP, but if you guys aren't sending in your 2nd team in the 2nd half then something is wrong. Grand Prairie just doesn't have what it takes to win a game in 6-5A.

Mac isnt that good of a team, if y'all let Moodys BACK UP run for 125 yars on 24 careers, tis pretty sad...
Now dont get me wrong, But you guys should have killed a 1-4 football team, but instead you decieded to let them almost beat you by a field goal. That would have been pretty sad, and pretty funny...i have no doubt that you guys are a decent program, but you guys will lose to Trinity and prob SGP...
Mac doesnt know how to win...You guys threw 5 picks to one of the worst secondarys in 5A football...penatalized for 85 yards...thats not a good program brotha...but Congrats on the win

Either the level of play in between Trinity and Grand Prairie is as close as it gets, or MacArthur has been playing bad. 7 turnovers will cause you to lose most games. We'll see how good they are this week against Irving.
