Considering the lopsided score, I thought the LaPorte Bulldogs played a good game. They had a slow start and could not keep the ball but after that, they never seemed to quit trying. Even with the score way up there I could see the intensity and the "keep trying " attitude from them. My hats off to them and their coaching staff.

It was for the most part the typical North Shore vs. La Porte game. They hung with us for a half quarter or so and then our speed and athleticism took over. No doubt they have a decent offense just not good enough to stand up to our defense.

I have to give kudos to LaPorte - they showed up to play. They just got back to school on Thursday. Don't know about their practice time. Two fumbles by their running back in or near the red zone cost them big time - as they were driving.

But I have to agree with BDC - North Shore just played North Shore ball. La Porte just happened to the the "victim of the day".

The Sho is good. There defense might be the fastest in the state. I am interested in seeing how they will match up against the Deer. I know they have better athletes than the deer, i just think the Deer Oline will be able to push them around a little. I am not saying the Deer will win, i am just saying NS will have trouble with a team that runs right at them. It will be a close game until the 4th.

Does Dobie have a chance on Tuesday? I have seen them play and Proctor is the real deal.

Who plays running back for the Sho?

I don't even think practice time would matter, North Shore is just a damn good team, they've been shutting people down for years now.

North Shore plays three backs Allen Sims, Chris Ganious, and Barry Landry. Sims and Ganious get most of the early carries with Landry spelling them here and there and then usuall taking over with others in the second half. None are game breakign threats as Clifford Gilliam was last year, but give any of them a whole and they go go.
