Raiders are off to another great year...
Kiffin's first draft
1. Russell - Holdout
2. Zach Miller - Starter
3. Moses - Cut
4. Bush - PUP
5. Eric Frampton - Cut
6. Johnnie Lee Higins - Starter (Special Teams)
7. ????
Raiders have 2 players from the draft actually playing for the team. Way to go guys.
Patriots cut their 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Rounder as well. What happened in the draft?

Patriots didn't need their draft picks, they already had talent. Raiders....not so sure?

In regards to the Raiders... one word... Davis..
The man shouldn't be anywhere near a football organization...

I forgot about Mario Henderson. He will be a back up this year with a chance to start next year.
They have 6 of the 11 players drafted on the roster. Losing Frampton and Moses will not be the end of the world.
I would rather see them cut Moses then hang onto him like they have done with Gallery.
Kiffin should address the media today. I am interested to see his response to cutting these players.

For whatever it's worth, Peter King thinks the Moses cut was an absolute joke & the was result of some sort of disagreement between Kiffin & Davis.

Richardson from Ohio State, a 6th round pick, outplayed him in preseason and practice.
Richardson had 11 tackles and 1 sack while Moses had 4 tackles and 1 sack.
I've calmed down some since the other day and really looked at the stats and comments from coaches.
King has no basis for this statement. People will do anything to discredit Al Davis.

Moses is a work in progress. While he played, at bursts - at Georgia, he is still worth giving an opportunity. (Which is why Arizona picked him up.)
Speaking of 3rd Rounders getting cut.... Ex-FSU LB Buster Davis (3rd Round Pick of the 2007 NFL Draft) was cut by Arizona. It seemed like a bitter ordeal. Sounds like Arizona pretty much called Buster a lazy quitter.

I agree. I think the Raiders were hoping to get him on the practice squad. Tommy Kelly moved over to end when the Raiders signed Warren from Denver. Kelly became the starter and Richardson proved a better backup. than Moses. The Cardinals were expected to try out several players at end due to a need at the spot. They didn't just grab Moses because of his skills; it was more due to the need of a warm body. Kiffin said he kept the best players to help his team win.
