Ever since we got it it has messed up some way! First it fried our TV's chip so they had to buy us a new TV and gave us a year free. Now 2 months into the free year (WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT :( ) they have had the upstairs TV mess up 2 times 4 remotes were sent back and finally one that worked we got 2 nights ago. i was happy about it. Now the remote won't work so I can't work the TV at all!

Every so often I get pissed at my local cable hack and I investigate the dish stuff. I always end up sticking with what I have, mostly because my cable modem internet kicks major butt over DSL.

DirecTV is terrible, my mom has it. I have Dish Network but through AT&T and it's been the best. Time Warner won't even offer me service.

I honestly can't remember the last time my cable went out. I lose an HD channel for a few hours every now and then, but that's it. Uptime has been incredible.

My AT&T Broadband performs much better than my Time Warner Cable Net did when I had them... and it's cheaper!

I have Dish Network and aside from the occasional lost signal during a storm I haven't had any major problems with it. I love the DVR I have!

I love the DVR with it also but it sucks. Just terrible things happen I guess it's different places or something.

DirectTV is a huge scam. They are slowly cutting off our HD channels, leaving us ESPN2 instead of ESPN, etc. They are trying to get us to buy a new HD box and DVR.

That and they overcharge on Sunday ticket!

Yes, at least they give you the HD channels. Now, they want you to pay 300 bucks to "rent" the DVR, and you can't keep it.

Compared to what...
If you flew to Wisconsin...rented a hotel room...that cost more than a whole season of Sunday ticket...
I guess you could fly to Wisconsin and watch a Packers game at Circuit City...that'd be fun...

If you can't afford it...I would opt for things like food and A/C first too...

i've had DN and it's been great for the last few years, the only problem we've had was just a dish that had to be replaced. But past that it's been good.

i have DirectTV and it absolutely sucks. You can forget about watching tv during a storm, i use to have time warner i like it better because you could actually pause tv and movies and they have on demand channels

I have had a dual tuner DVR which is amazing. I have alway had great service from Dish Network. I have to get a pretty heavy down pour before I lose the signal.

Sorry you are having problems with your. You would have to pry my DVR from my cold dead hands. I love it.
