Billy Pittman has been suspended for the first 3 Texas games for NCAA amateurism violations because he borrowed a friends car for like 3 weeks.

I can see borrowing a friends car for 1 day or so but 3 weeks does look a little fishy if your an NCAA investigator.

Aparrently the NCAA is aware and has "signed off" on the punishment whatever that means.

The NCAA has been informed of the university’s findings and has signed off on the discipline, the American-Statesman has learned.

If the kid really was his friend, and the car he was borrowing was a 1996 Lumina or something, then this is pretty sad and stupid. I don't know the whole story, but from the blurb I heard on ESPN, that's what it sounds like.

This is stupid. The NCAA signed off on it so there is nothing major involved. Just stupid stuff.
