Who do you think will come out on top? i know a buch of people think it's the big "least", but there are definetly 3 teams that could take a run. for me, it's definetly west virginia. watch out for usf too. while some people may say "who cares?", if the winner of the big east goes undefeated, especially louisville or wvu, i wouldn't be surprised if they're playing in the nc game come january.

Does anyone forget that South Florida LOST to Kansas, last year, and still beat West Virgnia, of whom also beat Rutgers?? They barely beat Florida International, 21-20, as well. The Big Least is just that.. the least of most peoples concern.
However...
South Florida: They've got to do better than losing to Kansas and barely beating Florida International and WV. We'll see what they're made of when they play @ Auburn, in Week 2. Something tells me it won't be pretty. Predicted finish: 7-5
West Virginia: I like this team. They play @ Maryland, @ South Florida and @ Rutgers. I doubt they win all 3, but they certainly have the talent to do so. Predicted finish: 11-1
Rutgers: Gotta love the hyped RB-Rice. They got a pretty smooth schedule, as they only have 1 tough contest to travel to; Louisville. And that's at the end of the season. Predicted finish: 11-1
Louisville: They're going to the Spread "O". I don't know, man.. it's tough to transition in a new coaching staff. They play @ Kentucky (QB-Woodson), @ NC State (which could be a trap game), @ WV, @ USF and @ Cincy. Can they win all 5?? Yup! Will they?? Nope! Predicted finish: 10-2
Overall, give me Rutgers to beat WV and lose to Louisville. Then Louisville to lose 2 games. Rutgers and WV will have 1 loss, but since Rutgers beat WV, they will win the Big East.
2007 Big East Champs: Rutgers
But, they do not play for a National Title... mainly because there will be a few undefeated teams, this year, and SEVERAL 1-loss teams. It will be a mess.

I can do that too. Rutgers dominated Kansas State in the Texas Bowl. Kansas State beat Texas, therefore Texas sucks right?
The Big East is not a deep conference at all but the top 3 or 4 teams are legitimate.

The question isn't "does Texas suck".... the question is does a Colt McCoy'less Texas team beat Rutgers, last year??

Big East has proved themselves just fine with West Virgina beating Georgia two years ago. Dominating their bowls last year. Head coaches spurning Alabama and Miami...
4 Heisman trophy candidates.
When USF was struggled, with Grothe the QB yet??
What's terrible is the job being done by Wannestadt. That's terrible.

The Big East has rebounded nicely, imo. We're talking about a league that was left for dead after Miami & BC jumped ship. Everyone wrote them off. Shame on everyone. At the end of last season they had three teams in/near the top ten. Imagine if Syracuse hadn't lost their mojo in recent years. Top to bottom they may not measure up to the other big boys but, at the top, they're stout. Schiano at Rutgers will continue to grow that program. They will only get stronger. WV has always had good teams that would jump up & surprise folks every few years. Under Rodriguez they've increased their production & become more consistent. They also happen to have one of the most dynamic backfields in the nation. Louisville has the most questions with the new staff but, of the three, their program was in the best position to have questions. They've been winning for awhile under Petrino & there is no better gift for a new coach than the projected number one pick in next year's NFL draft at qb. They'll be better than most think this season. For this season, give this finish.
1) WV - Slaton/White combo just too much this year
2) Louisville - the game starts & ends at qb position & they've got a great one
3) Rutgers - give Schiano one more year's worh of recruits & they'll be ready to really take off.
