Interesting - I'd like to see a pic. of it. Let's assume it's fairly small and in the back of the helmet.

On a different note, what happens to the OU helmet when the Lexus dealer passes?

Speaking of Stickers on helmets....maybe I should post this in the NFL thread...put what are those green dots on the back of all QB's helmets for?

Kiss me I'm Irish?

There's all kinds of whacky things on helmets and uni's. I say go ahead and make 'em look like Nascar.

It's to help the team/Ref to distinguish the helmets with the radios in them for the Qb's from the Normal ones...

Thanks...I just found a site saying the same:

"GREEN DOT HELPS REF TRACK WHO HAS AUDIO

One of the new things we noticed during last night's Hall of Fame game was that each of the quarterbacks had affixed to the backs of their helmets a small green dot.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tells us that the sticker is a new device being used to help officials confirm that only one player on offense is wearing a helmet with a radio receiver from the coaching staff."

The NFL ran into a little problem last year when Atlanta would put Schuab in at QB and move Vick out to WR because both players had radios in their helmets which is against NFL rules. Seattle also did it with Wallace who is the back-up QB but also lines up at WR some times.

They added the green sticker to show the refs who has a helmet with a built in microphone. I think they are actually going to try to enforce the 'only 1 person on the field with a microphone' rule, so this is their solution.

Guess that problem with Atlanta has already been solved.

Couldnt Vick just grab a backup helmet? Like he has one sitting on the side that he runs to the sideline and puts on when he is at WR?

That's what they have to do now, but it was never really thought of before because there aren't a lot of QBs athletic enough to line up at another position.

Uh, this is way off subject, but, jtk, I'd just like to let it be known that the lady in your avatar is off da chain.

Now, back to the subject!
