Kempner comes into the Rig to play Pearland on Friday at 7:00. New QB Allen and runing back Carrier will take control of the offense. The defense returns most of its starters from last year state semifinal team.

I think the D is gonna make its presence felt early on this season. I'm gonna predict 28-7...

Pearland is the easy favorite. A good chance to get the 2nd & 3rd teamers in on some early exposure.
Pearland 34
Kempner 7 (and that lone score comes against 2nd or 3rd team D)

Yes the have a new coach and it won't be pretty for the Cougars this year. I saw the Oilers play Kempner at Mercer last year. This years beating by the Oilers will put Kempner in a place where they will never recover. They will finish at the bottom in 235a.

per the pearland football website i thought i throw out some numbers
One of the biggest olines weve had in a while
O_LINE not sure who is the starters but heres the bigger five.
Ian Gray 6'8 305
Claude Francis 6'4 312
Brian Thomas 6'3 268
David Maciel 6'0 295
Jack Andrews 5'11 270
add in TE
Kevin Davis 6'3 235
that possible line could average 6'3 280 alot bigger than any line ive seen pearland put out.
Dline too
DT Dantrayl Smith 6'1 290
DT Pat Turner 6'0 282
DE Bernand Obi 6'4 223
DE Bruce Honore 6'0 210
and the probable dline comin in at an average 6'1 251
we'll see if the big men can move like years past.

After seeing them up close at the scrimmage I would say it's the biggest team since the Brandon Roberson era...

I've always wanted to make it out to a Pearland home game. Do ya'll play Brazoswood at home this year?
Kempner returns most of there defense.
Pearland 28
Kempner 13
