They look like they are a real contender blowing by lee 43-14. But I think they might still have to worry about Tyler Lee come playoff time. Lee made it to the Trojan 1 yard line twice and both times came away with no points. so at 22-14 it could have easily been 29-28 at one point during the game. Lee also committed alot of penalties. I know Euless beat them last season and then lost to them in the playoff's. So with that being said to the Euless fans out there are there any worries about playing Lee twice. Trinity is a very dominate team, but Tyler Lee is just one of those teams one minute they look great and the next they look horrible. I agree ET whipped Lee 3 weeks ago. But will there be added pressure on playing them again during the post season if that match up was to happen. Im not trying to say ET lucked up or anything like that I just wanted to know how they felt about. I dont mean worry about them like by being scared of them but its hard to beat a team twice. Yes Lee may not have as much talent but Owens will have his boys ready to try to Shut down Nance. Just thinking of a possible playoff match up later on down the road.

While Tyler Lee was a good opponent(typical of east Texas) and also a team thats capable of plenty of success in the coming weeks. The concerns of the Trojan team and fans a like is only of 3-1 district opponent in Irving Nimitz. Seeing as its the start of a tough district slate its no time to be looking back on nondistrict or playoff hypotheticals.

Wrong....Tyler Lee made it to the 1 yard line once, that was their first possessionh in the second half. They fumbled. They were also stopped inside the Trinity territory twice. How do these stats get out? Each game Trinity's defense has gotten better. I expect that barring any serious injuries they will be very ready for the playoffs.

As a Trojan fan i would fear a matchup with Longview or Lufkin much moreso than Lee. Last year even though we beat Lee at home, i felt like they were the better team and they proved it in the playoffs. This year we are superior simply because they can't stop our offense. Longview would be much more of a threat because of McGee. I don't know if Trinity's D could stop him and Lufkin's got great receivers. I'm still holding out hope that Grapevine gets into the playoffs because then we'd get a shot at Southlake. That would be about as good as it gets. All due respect to the Dragons because until someone knocks them off, they are the team to beat but i feel like THS would matchup with them as well as anyone.

Now for the record, I have alot of faith in the Trojans, you guys better win state, or else ill be very upset...if slc played trinity it would be a close game...but I think SLC would come out on top because of expriance in tough games.

CC57,

You think SLC beats Trinity, but loses to Colleyville?

Im not saying Colleyville is better then Trinity, im just calling the upset, or trying to...i think Colleyville might be one of the most underrated football teams in 5A football

I think if CHHS can play at the tempo of SLC and start thinking they can beat them then I think they have a shot. I am still thinking SLC will win big, but that is why we play the game. If SLC does run away with it they will pour it on late. I say SLC by three TD's.

You know what having had an opportunity to go back and look at ur oringinal post Purple Nation Having and analyze everything I've seen from Tyler Lee this year, I've realized that they only need to do one thing to quickly turn back in to a team to watch for. That is run it down people's throats. Preston Hill is a good athlete and REL has athletes on the outside but they just arent connecting. When REL lost to Trinity in there first meeting last year the offense was pretty wide open which allowed them to score quickly, however it put their injury thinned defense back on the field equally as fast. This led to a shootout in that games as well as losses vs. Lufkin and Longview under the same conditions. The difference in the second meeting with Trinity is they relentless pounded the ball with their best as well most under utilized playmaker in Tyrone Ross which was absolutely key in a 28-7 victory. Nothing would take more pressure off and give more confidence to Tyler Lee's also struggling defense then for Tyler Lee's offense to control the tempo, clock, and physical nature of the game.

No doubt Preston Hill is a play maker. That is what I like about Tyler Lee just when you think they are down they bounce back and suprise alot of teams. I just think that the Trinity rushing attack might be to strong for Lee to handle down the stretch if they meet again in the playoffs. I am wonder if John Tyler will use there massive O-Line and dominate Lee as well, or will Lee have had made adjustments by then. I know this match up is a light years away, but I really think if Lee will beat A&M Concol. they will meat Triniy again. Only time will tell.

I just think Tyler is guilty of not playing to their true strengh much like last year which is giving it to Jason Williams behind a decent offensive line. Not only will this allow the offense to take controlled shots downfield but also allow the defense to play inspired football for short periods of time.

The chances of either team being D1 are even more remote than SLC chances of being D1.

Longview is the 5th largest in a seven team district. TJT and Mesquite Horn would need to be the other playoff teams. Similarly, LP is 6th largest in an eight team district. Huntsville and Conroe Oak Ridge would need to make the playoffs for them to be D1...... :)

If what you said is true SLC13 well than the exciting opprtunity of playing Longview at least isnt out of the question. I think horn is 3-1 and TJT is 4-0. And by the way Eval much in the same boat as SLC I feel Trinity's defense is a well kept secret thats also should have a chip on its shoulder every time it steps on the field.

Of course that would mean that Tyler Lee would miss the playoffs altogether. I'm not going to bet that happens.......
