Okay, so I admit that I have been lurking on the board for a couple of weeks and promised never to get to the point where I needed to post because then i would be on all day. However, I'm on most of the day anyway so i figure I might as well ramble on like everyone else!

Anyways, I grew up in 26-5a but now live in Dallas and was wodnering what will be the better matchup to go se tomorrow night Garland/Naaman, Rowlett/NG, or Mesquite/N.Mesquite.

Garland/ Naaman (hopefully) won't be much of a game (GHS should roll).

Rowlett/ NG has tons of playoff implications - a loss and NG is in serious trouble - an RHS loss and they slide back to the pack (and perhaps lose some of their confidence and momentum).

For pure spectacle, I would attend Mesquite/ North Mesquite. This is a bitter, bloody rivalry and is almost always a highly competive game. It will also have a huge crowd, and be played in one of the better stadiums in the area. It is possible that both these teams miss the playoffs, but this game is always great.

I might go see them instead of GHS vs Naaman...still havent decided..

My .02 which is worth...well .02 is to go to Mesquite/North Mesquite. They've been rivals for years. None of the 3 games are real top-flight games of 2 great teams.

The Rowlett/North game will be a show for two excellent RB's, Bean and Pierce. And at least one of these teams will be in the playoffs. As for me, I will watch the Owls.

I'm better than he is, but I won't say some of the things he'll say. That's the difference, because what I write is a toned down version of what I can say. I leave some things alone because this is supposed to be a family board. There's a fine line between doing an all-out assault and making people mad and just throwing comments in here and there. I enjoy what Wide says, too!

I try to be. I don't want to overdo it, though. It's not worth making people mad.

If you want a really interesting game come down 114 to 26 to go see SLC and CHHS at Panther/Mustang stadium! 2 undefeated teams going for the lead in 5-5a!

All 3 of my houses in Converse were within 0-2 miles of Toepperwein. I lived in Miller's Point, Cimarron, and whatever the new Cimarron is.

It was cool to see the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame plaques at the Alamodome. Ad Toepperwein was a trick-shot artist and he didn't miss anything with a rifle. His wife was a good shooter, too.

Man, you can hardly beat Converse houses. I went from about 1650 SF to 1838 to 2339 and all those houses can be had for under $100K.

They have the posting part down and they keep a good attitude. All they need now are good smart aleck remarks and to add a lot of sports knowledge. I had a huge headstart on them in sports because I started studying all this stuff when I was 7 or 8. I probably knew more at 9 or 10 than they know now.

i know you know a LOT about sports, i may not know the history as well as you did, but i am pretty good at getting the present nailed, stats, standings, in most of the sports, was told id be a great sports writer, but id have to learn to spell and use grammar first.....thats what an editor is for anyways right?
