No, I'm not talking about SMU. Check out this link, which details the allegations the NCAA is making against the University of Central Oklahoma (DII). There are links to the actual NCAA allegation documents.
Among the highlights:
Paying for over 80 athletes to attend classes at Rose State College, apparently in an effort to get them eligible.
Making cash payments to prisoects (mostly small) for lifeguard classes at Rose State.
Paying for a player's surgery before his enrollment.
Providing sports medicine services before players' enrollment.
Athletes got free food, housing, and transportation while they were not enrolled full time.
All this at a mediocre DII school, under the current coach, no less. They didn't even have a compliance officer. Could we be looking at the death penalty at the DII level?
