Lets be real for just a second. Coach comes up and tells there boys alright we have 4 games in 16 days that means we will not get as many practices in but we will still have to play the games. Ok back to my point as a 16-18 year old kid your thinking we can play more games and practice less. Wow so I dont think this will be as hard as what most people think. As a player I would look forward to this. I think the Lufkin players will see this more as fun for them playing alot of games. I know I would have had fun if we had a schedule like that. Now from a coaches stand point we are going to be pissed but there is nothing you can do about it. Goodthing for Lufkin is that we have three st8 home games. I just hope Lufkin does not have a major let up and loose some of those games.

PN - I hear ya' but I think it's a best case for this potential scenario. Most of the games are at home, and Huntsville should be a cakewalk - if it's not - something is bad wrong. It could be much worse. I just hope the school doors open Monday - we'll see.

In this case, it's not so much the preparation time that you lose as much as it will be the recovery time that you lose for little minor bumps and bruises that normally would heal with six days rest.

Everybody is in same situation so early conditioning and depth will be key. It worked out as well as possible for Lufkin. At least they didn't have to travel too much which would have affected the athletes in other ways (They are student too). Face it, there was no perfect solution. At least they attempted to not interfere with homecomings etc.
