The Panthers deserve their own thread this week. Eagle Pass beat them 45-13, but that might be their best offensive performance in the last 2 years. Maybe things are looking up a little in Laredo. I'll cheer if they win a game this year.

PS: School board MAY approve the building of 2 more high schools in Victoria...what a waste of money with the consolidation.

Oh, and they want people from the community to come give their thoughts and suggestions on the proposal. I felt like writing an email and saying "You didn't listen to the community the first go round so what makes you think anyone is gonna show up this time?"

I thought I owed it to them to have a serious thread and not poke fun of them. They opened the year losing 28-7, but got beat 41-0 the last 2 weeks.

The best chance is Laredo Johnson and there are all kinds of jokes that apply to that team. They'll be 1-8 going into the UNSO game and the only win will be the 14-13 win over 3A Crystal City. UNSO might lose that game, too. Last week was supposed to be UNSO's best shot in district.
