I wish the best for the kid, but as soon as Dorman gets on campus, I have the feeling they are going to pull a Jamie McCoy and move Johnson to WR or maybe even TE because Tellus (HOLLA!) could very well bolt after this season which leaves A&M with a gaping hole at that position.

I'm not saying Dorman isn't good (and this is going to be biased) but I doubt that happens. Johnson is a good WR, but he has an amazing arm and great field vision. He really sees the field better than most people who have played the game. I think he starts next year after McGee goes pro.

Yeah, he went to the wrong school for that to happen. He's got alot of physical tools but he's getting no education as a qb with pro aspirations in Aggie land.

That makes some sense. Which means you can bet the house that Fran wont do it. I'm just sayin'.

LOL, that is true.
And SLC is right, McGee should have spent some time elsewhere if he wanted to go pro. He has physical attributes and he is a GREAT leader, but i don't think he has the other tools needed to be able to make it. But I still think he might take a shot at going pro.
I'm not sure why Jerrod didn't redshirt last year. I expected him to that way he could get an extra year at QB since McGee is only a junior. I guess he felt it would have been too competitive.

I was impressed with him the only time I saw him play in one of the All Star games.

Jerrod Johnson was red shirted last year. This year will be his 1st year of eligibility. He'll probably end up playing WR though. I have a feeling Tannehill may end up at QB after McGee graduates. JJ will probably get a lot of PT at WR this year. I think they will want him to be on the field rather than on the sideline holding a clipboard.

Does anybody really trust Fran to develop a QB? The only thing I have seen of Mr. Johnson is what I saw at the THSCA All-Star game last year and some video, but from that it's easy to gather that he is very raw and in need of a lot of coaching. Does anybody see Fran doing that? The same Fran that made McNeal a worse QB over time. The same Fran that has made McGee a worse passer. The same Fran that took a good athlete in Jamie McCoy and turned him into a WR. McCoy was never a great QB and in terms of the total package, I was never impressed with him in high school, but he was a lot farther along than Johnson. That's just my two cents anyway.

No.
Pretty simple response, really.

A&M is a QB's graveyard as far as NFL aspirations go.

Once McGee is done at A&M then Dorman will take over.
