True... but then again, with all the talent Texas has, I would've never thought the loss of RSF-McCoy would've cost you them wins vs Kansas State (who Rutgers embarrassed) and Texas A&M (who Cal destroyed).
I'd rather just have Sweed simply because he's part of the winning equation. Put the best on the field, every week, is my modo!! Sweed being out is not a huge deal vs the likes of Arky-St... but the focus should be on the severity of Sweed's injury. What do we know? What don't we know?

Not so fast. ESPiN gets their info from Chip Brown. Big mistake.
Texas wide receiver Limas Sweed is expected to be ready for the season opener against Arkansas State, Sept. 1, a UT spokesman said Thursday.
There had been unsubstantiated reports circulating Wednesday night that Sweed was expected to miss at least three weeks with the injury. Sweed didn’t even learn his official prognosis until he was told of the MRI results on Thursday. Doctors fit him with a splint Wednesday to keep him from reinjuring the wrist.

Not that it's really that big a deal.

I wouldn't look for him to play much anyway. He may get a few reps in early in the first half, but I expect a lot of youth to play early. After this season, Texas will have to replace Sweed and Pittman and maybe The Quan if he decides to go pro (I really doubt it). The Ghost may not be 100% for Arkie State either (Hamstring tweak). Texas has some sick young talent at WR that I expect to get a lot of reps in those early trash games. Malcolm Williams (6'3 215 Fr.), Montre Webber (6'3 206 RS Fr.), Philip Payne (6'2 210 RS Fr.), James Kirkendoll (5'11 175 Fr.) and Brandon Collins (6'0 170 Fr.) all freshman and none have taken a snap yet. Expect to see some or all of them and expect to see a lot.

Payne and Kirkendoll will be good.
Alert to UT - (and they know this) - you better be ready for TCU. The Froggies aren't scared of DKR in the least.

Payne looks to be a physical specimen. I have heard that Collins has looked very good in practice. I would like to see some of these freshmen receivers redshirted. As far as Sweed's injury goes, I am simply glad that it is not an ankle, knee, hip or hamstring as that would maybe limit or take away some explosiveness. Ankle, hip, and knee injuries are the worst. I've never had any trouble with my groin muscles or hamstrings, but those are probably nagging as well.

Supposedly Montre Webber has been looking great. Kirkendoll is being seen as a homerun threat maybe in the same style as Ramonce.
