It may be just me, but isn't Arizona State doing the same thing Arkansas tried, embarrassingly, to do two weeks ago? Arizona State QB Sam Keller graced the world with his voice on Monday speaking, aarogantly - to say the least, about the upcoming game against USC.
Mmmm.....lets rewind...[rewind noise]...Arkansas was qouted as saying, "USC ain't nothin' but a top ranked SEC team....and we play teams like them all the time"....
....yeahhhhh! When USC was up 42-10 at the half of the Arkansas game I bet the team was imploding, clashing with each other over why they said such mean things about that nice USC team before the game.
If the warning was heaved from the bi*** slapping USC gave them Arkiesaw boys, then perhaps Arizona State should have used some common sense before casting the death sentence upon themselves. Sam is actually calling out Matt Leinart..."Matt Leinart"!...the same Matt Leinart that won the Heisman last year....the same Matt Leinart whose team hasn't lost since 2003...the same Matt Leinart who would be the starting QB with the 49er's, leading them probably to a 10-6 or 11-5 season! (Ok, perhaps not an 11-5 season, but who really cares?...I mean it is the 49er's!)
But then again, who knows?...Sam & Co. might play really, really hard...and the score won't be a 70-17 blow-out...
...it may just be 56-10! :D

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona State quarterback Sam Keller gets fired up for a scrimmage, so it's no surprise that he's bursting with anticipation for Saturday's game against No. 1 Southern California.
``To be honest with you, it's ridiculous, I've got to pinch myself,'' he said Monday. ``Yeah, I'm excited and you better believe I'm leaving it all out on the field.''
The junior's first full season at the controls of the 14th-ranked Sun Devils' high-powered offense is off to a roaring start.
After four games, Keller leads the nation with 1,443 yards passing and 16 touchdowns. He has completed 60 percent of his passes and has thrown only two interceptions -- both in the opener against Temple. He has 124 passes without an interception, 12 shy of the school record set by Mike Pagel in 1980.
Arizona State (3-1) is fourth in total offense with 591.8 yards per game. USC is second at 615.7. In yards passing, the Sun Devils are second at 395.8, the Trojans fifth at 367.3.
``It's ridiculous, isn't it?'' Keller said, crediting the preparation of coach Dirk Koetter and his staff. ``We're just making plays right now. We just do everything at will. I'm not trying to be arrogant or cocky when I say that. We just have that chip on our shoulder.''
Not that Keller is saying his offense is better than that of the defending national champion Trojans (3-0), who enter Saturday's contest on a 25-game winning streak.
``I think our offense ranks with anybody. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say we're better because I don't think that we deserve that yet,'' he said. ``But our offense is darned good. I think everybody knows that.''
For the first time this season, Keller was roughed up a bit last Saturday in Arizona State's 42-24 victory at Oregon State. He was sacked twice, nailed as he threw several other times and twisted an ankle, but said he will be fine this weekend.
``Quarterbacks sometimes don't get credit for being tough guys because they don't play in the trenches,'' Koetter said. ``But anyone who watched a tape of that game, Sam definitely demonstrated toughness.''
Receiver Derek Hagan said the hard hits don't seem to bother his quarterback.
``Actually I think Sam, he likes getting hit,'' said Hagan, Arizona State's career leader in receptions and receiving yards. ``When he was getting hit, he gets up and starts laughing. He was in the huddle saying `Guys, I just got smacked.'''
Keller gives due respect to the Trojans, calling Matt Leinart ``a great quarterback.''
``But I keep telling you guys, he's got a lot of guys around him that make him look good. That's the bottom line,'' Keller said.
He said he was amazed by how much time the offensive line gave Leinart last week at Oregon.
``He's got 8 seconds to throw!'' Keller said. ``He sat back there, he could have made a sandwich, ate it, dropped half of it, picked it up, ate it and then thrown the ball.
Keller, who played at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif., doesn't envy all the notoriety that Leinart gets as USC's leader.
``I just like playing football,'' he said. ``My teammates are like my brothers. This isn't Los Angeles, but I wouldn't trade this place for anyplace in the world. I'm at home here. I don't need to have Jessica Simpson running around or anybody like that to make me happy.''
