lol i didnt think you would actually have another one...just being a smart ***...i know basil mitchell has to be up there cuz he was there not too long ago and i got to see him play...he was also LT's mentor...i remember in the mid 80's they had an ole boy named davis who was pretty good...but tony jeffery also played for em back in the 60's i believe. i will take kenneth davis but it could jeffery or mitchell just as easily and i kno davis has their single season record

My first pick would be Priest Holmes
or the RB out of Skyline. Little guy. What was his name? I think he only played RB one year, then was moved to kr/pr!

My OU Sooners......47 Game Win Streak! And actually the season OU lost, that ended up being the only loss of the season! So they went something like 53-1.(?)

You must be refering to MT Union's 55 game win streak! Pretty good, but unfortunately it's on the DIII level. Sorry, that's almost as good as Junior College Football!
It's like a 1A or 6-man team having a 100 game win streak! Who cares?
To do it on a 5A level, in Texas, would be out-of-this-world!

it was 55 and to do that on any level is impressive. Mt Union played some tough teams to get to that streak, rather it be Rowan, ST Johns, Pac Luthern, they played some tough football teams. No D3 is not D1, but they have some athletes that are just a tad to short or a tad to slow.

"Orangemen" is offensive not because it refers to generic "men", but rather historical figures. Orangemen were Protestant supporters and soldiers of William of Orange in the English revolution of 1688, which unseated the strongly Catholic James the II and his Irish and French soldiers and supporters. William, was a Dutchman who married Mary Stuart of England and shared the English throne after unseating James II. (Hence the school "William and Mary"). In 20th century Northern Ireland, the most famous paramilitary /terroristic Protestant group that fought against the Catholic IRA (Irish Republican Army) also adopted the name "Orangemen", in reference to the rabidly anti-Catholic William of Orange and his supporters. Syracuse University thought it was time to rethink a mascot that had strong anti- Catholic connotations.
And yes, I just laid the smack down in this trivia game.
