The Dawgs need to show up for all 4 quarters of the game. Week 2 gave Judson a 13 point spot in the first. Week 3 gave Waco U 14 in the first. and last week gave HH 14 points in the second. I hope to see them come out and play all 4 this week and stop spoting teams points early in games. Not to say that those teams did not earn them, just saying that if they can shut teams down in the 3rd and 4th then do that the entire game.
How much does the Bryan team want revenge from last years nightmare at the Pound? I still say Cove wins this by 14+

Vikings have speed on kick returns, and if all goes right Cove will give them plenty of chances, I always like it when the other team leads you in kickoff return yardage...
QB can get it down field, and their wideouts got behind the Belton DB's nearly every time. I don't think they can do that against Cove. Running game was not that great, Belton shut them down most of the night.

HMO: Cove 35-10 maybe 35-17 if Vikings are remembering last season

Cove 35
Bryan 13

If Bryan can get their running game going then this could be a whole new ball game. Artell Woods (their speedy kick returner/pretty solid running back) is a good one. Their Oline was pretty big and he was able to pull of a bunch of yards against us.

Ya they gotta get there running game going cuz that is the only way anyone will be able to beat Cove. We have a very good secondary with only 1 senior...Just like Judson though, Cove will make adjustments against the run and be able to shut down Bryan

No one has probably heard this yet, but something has happened to one of the star Copperas Cove players. I'm not going to release any info and no Cove or Killeen person should either. This is in the best for the player..We are praying for the player, his family and others effected by this tragedy. May god be with everyone involved..

Why even bring it up??

Yeah that doesnt make sense to bring it up.

"I know something about you"
"Well what is it"
"I'm not telling"

If you told people then he would be in our prayers, just like he is in your prayers. Unless its something just that bad, like he rapped a little girl or something.

Bryan is loaded with talent this year - but I still don't think much of the coach. The smartest thing he has done so far is to get 3 top 10 teams off of his schedule. When you take Katy, The Woodlands & Converse Judson off your pre-district schedule, you almost instanly added 3 more wins to your season record. This is exactly what happenend to Bryan last year it took their win total from 3 games the previous season to 6 last season. (Its like coaching magic!) Bryan will keep this one close though because of the talent factor. When the Bryan Sr.s were Freshman they had Cove down 21-0 at Half but Brent Garner came back the 2nd half as Superman and pretty much won the game by himself 22-21. Sorry to hear about the tragic accident, my prayers go out to both families involved.

I don't think it will be real close. The Dawgs are gonna rally around what happened with Brent.... 38-14 is my prediction

If you read all the post you will see I was refering to Bryan not Improving. Someone had said Bryan was improved from last year so I posted that score to say I don't think they improved enough to overcome 46 points. I think Cove will win in other words.

Due to the recent events, i have mixed emotions regarding this game. They may play but it will be tough and emotional on the players, especially Mr. Garner.

I wish them the best for this game but have a feeling things will not be what was expected.

GO DAWGS!!!

Im actually a friend of Brent and me and my roommate talked to him yesterday. He said when hes with his friends and on the field it takes his mind off of what happened

I think it would be good for him to play so he can start the healing process if this is something that would work for him. I am sure the other family involved would not want him to miss out on doing what he has done. Although it is not easy, this affects many people and this was an accident.

Cove is not the same team as they are when Garner is in and this can affect our team big time in a negative way. The counselors and coaching staff are very good and i know Jack Welch believes in his faith. If those involved have made peace with the incident then the healing process will begin to take place.

I wish the best for all of those as well as the other teams that this tragedy has had an impact on. I know it has affected all of us that read and post on this board and just goes to show you how important it is to spend the time with your children / young adults bucause your life can change without notice and at any minute.

Good luck to all this week.
