When watching your favorite team, what is it that they do that makes you want to scream out loud??
Two of mine are illegal procedure / encroachment and kick offs that go out of bounds.

Mine would have to be when your team calls a time out to make sure they have everyone on the same page and then they don't get out on the field after the time out with enough time to run a play and have to call another time out........DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, that's another one that spins me into a point of pisstivity I rarely see. That and burning a time out because the play clock is at 1 sec and then jump off sides on the next play. Same end result but now you have one less time out!!

In the early Kingsbury/ Leach years, constant 5 yard out/ crossing patterns/ hitch routs. Not a bad play except it always seemed to be 3rd and 8!
Leach has won me over, and I trust his Jedi-mastery of his offense.( What the hell is that punter doing here?:D )

Making the kickoff team go down in a three point stance before the ball is kicked. Seems a bit adolescent. Just kick it and turn the killers loose!

I would say that special teams in general have been below average for the Dragons during our run. What is the most baffling is that we can't seem to find any semblence of a reasonable punter. I can't even remember the last decent one we've had.......

I was on the kickoff squad for the entire regular season and the reason that we pooched it was when and if we did kick it far and really well...we just werent good at covering...it was a mess coach dodge even came over a few times during i think playoffs and said not too but coach drake knew as well as we did we just couldnt cover well

you know what sucks, when i punt the ball 50 yards, go to the game, and see that our punter hits it like 10, and wayyyyyy to the right, im thinking wtf? couldnt we have found someone better, im in freaking band and i can punt decent.

What get me is when your running back is picking up about six yards a pop .Late in the fourth a close game & they stop your back for maybe a one yard loss. The o\c pass the ball the next two time for incomplete passess ..duh Let the back run the next two plays at six yards a pop......dummy

I went to a Plano Wildcat game last season, and, I noticed that when the Cats threw the ball, the recievers only ran the fly route. Never in my life, had I seen so many fans get that pissed off. I can't blame them though.

Not my team(s) necessarily, but it seems as though more offensive coaches could be planning for the next play ahead of time. Sometimes it looks as though they watch the results of a play, scream at a few guys, then start considering the situation, down, and distance after the ball has been put in play for the next play. I've seen the QB have to rush alot and timeouts wasted because of this and I've seen it on all levels.

LV's FB dive play...that play irritates the fire out of me. It seems our whole offense is setup on it...The only problem is that in tight games, when it is stuffed...we keep using it!!!!:puke
For Lamar, Peach has been pretty aggressive going for it on forth down when I would have been more likely to punt.
In about '87/'88 they started the one back offense. Right off the line they have a slot back and have been running this little end around. It was a great play 20 years ago, but rarely works now. Still run it several times a game.

Missing tackles in the backfield, stupid penalties (false starts, personal fouls, etc...), and a
WR RUNNING A TWO YARD ROUTE WHEN ITS FREAKIN 3RD AND 8!!!!!!!
I also hate a coach that only has 5 plays in his playbook and is determined to run them no matter how much they are getting stuffed.

Having a bad kicker can REALLY drive me crazy. I say this only because last year was the first instance where i can really remember Leander having a downright horrible kicker. Robert Georgefski (UCLA soccor) and Pedro Pirrera (UNCW soccor) had been our kickers for the last 4 years before this past year, but last year our kicker i think made 2 actual field goal attempts and had several missed extra points, and blocked fieldgoals due to low kicks (he even had one extra point hit the back of the deep snappers head). I mean how hard is it to go to the soccor fields for practice to see who would be willing to kick.

I hate when the run doesn't work on 1st down so they throw it on 2nd and 3rd down.
I hate when a lineman comes off the field yelling at his fellow teammates about a blown play when he was the one who missed the key block...
Judson always does a reverse play on the kickoff return. One back is designated to keep the ball going one way, and they always cross, sometimes handing the ball off, sometimes not. Well onetime, Randez James caught the ball and tripped on like the 2 or 3 yard line and fell. I think it was against Roosevelt in the game that was Judson 3 Roosevelt 2 at the half. (yes a football game)
I absolutely can't stand when the QB and RB on the other team are constantly running into each other, sometimes even knocking one another down, yet they still beat you. (Judson vs Westfield at the Astrodome in 04.)

* any play that ends in a taunting/unsportsmanlike conduct penalty
*Punting the ball from inside your opponent's 40 on 4th, only to have the ball go into the endzone and end up at the 20. Net difference of 10+ yards with no opportunity to maintain possession with a 4th down try. Too conservative-
*when a player tries to scoop up a fumble unnecessarily and run, only to muff it and give it back.

Pooch kicks are the stupidest things EVER. I also hate draw plays on 3rd and 8. Hardly EVER works
AMEN to that!!!!! Seems like that became our favorite play last year.
The normal drive (against quality oponents) was something like.......
1st down - 3 yard run
2nd down - QB back to pass, can't find receiver, doesn't get rid of the ball, 15 yard loss.
3rd down - Draw play for little to no gain
4th - PUNT
Well maybe that's not all we did, but it definitely drove me bonkers when we did!!!!

Delay of game penalties make me crazy.
I could never be an OC... it would be paralysis by analysis for me on almost every down. There's so many options, so much statistical data to consider, and so much human element with momentum/player stamina level/etc.
I know what you're saying though... it's frustrating from the stands.

Ain't that the truth. What's even more disgusting is sitting in the stands and listening to the morons who have no clue say things like "where in the world is he throwing that? There wasn't even anybody close.... I could do better than that!". Multiple that frustration by 10 if it's a soccer mom saying the above quote. That's one of the rare situations where I feel pity for a QB.

1. When the QB runs 2 the sideline to get every play and ur offense is mainly options and bootlegs.
2. Constantly Running the option to the short side of the field.
3. Calling a timeout 2 run a trickplay...now we're ready..
4. Teams that have no clue in ref to game clock.
5. Not running the no-huddle offense when game is winding down and run outta time on a good drive.
6. When fans sit on opposite side and talk crap.
7. Having a 6'5 receiver and throw him 1-2 passes a game.
8. Always starting 1st down with a FB dive

At Strake we have a limited number of players so a few of the players are going both ways including the QB. So, what do we do? We run him to the side line to recieve every single play, then tell him to go play linebacker.

AMEN TO THAT!! YOU JUST DESCRIBED SGP PERFECTLY! God I hate that crap. Especially 1 and 2. That is all we would do with Dewberry the past two seasons. The pooch kick could work when:
1. kicked 1-2 times a game
2. kicked high @ 20 yds deep, possibly hitting a retreating opponent in the back.
3. making the Punt Returner run up to attempt to catch ball against traffic causing fumble
4. even if PR catches ball he's open 4 a highlite smash.
5. most teams will let the ball hit ground and get away from it, but a football's bounce is dangerously unpredictable.
6. Play could back fire and bounce back to original line of scimm.
