Most all the boys on TOP SIX 4x200 relay teams play football. This indicates speed.. fastest in the nation. The top 3 times in the 4x100 all broke the national record. Less than a second difference in the top six 4x200 times..all from Texas:eek:
Whats the over and under on when someone bithches about this not being about football? Mainly because they are not mentioned enough:cry Where I come from track is kinda a part of football srping training :D

Absolutely. I don't know enough about Coach Gaddis at Lewisville now but I do know Gage highly encouraged the kids to run track and go through a track workout.
Where I went to school, Liberty Christian all football players had to go through a track workout. It was the best conditioning program we had and was very beneficial come football season. THe only thing that sucked was for us baseball players we would go to baseball practice dead tired.

amazing that texas is #1 and Florida is #11 for boys
maybe that 'sunshine speed' isn't as dominant as believed?

No surprise at all to anyone that follows track. Texas is, and has been, dominant on the boys side. Cali is dominant on the girls side. It will probably always be this way.
This is why the myth of Florida speed cracks me up. You could take an all star team of tracksters from Florida, put them in Region 3 in Texas and they would have trouble.
