I hope he manages to find his way to UT. He is a hidden gem, and Texas is looking at him harder than they were looking at Daniels.

With SLC's receiving corps, this kid definately makes The Dragons the team to beat.....BIG SUPRISE.... :)

His deep routes looked a little late, but the available targets will keep any defense off balance. Plus, I'm sure he is stronger now than last season.

he will be getting the lion's share of the reps too, in 7on7 and in practice/games, so his timing will be improved.

I really look forward to seeing him in action. I even bought a couple of green shirts to wear to the games.

I was watching the Spring Footballers while keeping an eye on the baseball playoff game...McElroy is big! They were working on all of the Dragon weapons, no huddle, Indy Pkg, killing the clock at the end of a quarter, looked like a typical spring learning session. McKay Jacobson also looked a little bigger.

Must be tough Dragon Nation:
____________
SP:
Camping out in California? Are you from there?

GM:
Yes, I am from California. We moved to Texas when my dad landed a job in Dallas.
_____________
Heck - we could have gotten his dad a job in Lufkin ;)

You guys have to shoo away all the qb/wr prospects that coming jetting in every year from all over the nation :D

it's funny you bring this up. we lost 3 potential back-up qbs last year after mcelroy was chosen as the back-up to cd. all were pretty good, but after seeing the writing on the wall, and wanting to get some pt at qb, transferred to neighborhood private schools. it has left us a little qb deficient as we speak. there are only 2 qbs with the varsity today. don't know what is in the pipeline behind rd, but surely there are several who'll be able to call some signals in the years ahead.

Yeah, the 7th & 8th grade teams have'nt been challenged....the Dragons will probably find somebody, somehow.... ;)

Agreed guys - just messin' with you a bit. Yep - the kids (and parents) that know they can play - will find a place to play. There's only spots for 11 at a time.

CC - I don't know what his dad does - I'm assuming he works for the Rangers?

Hey, actually, our head baseball coach position is now open. Strong salary, benefits, great facilities, and a top 10 reputation. Greg would certainly be "in the mix" for a starting qb spot here - but he'd need to work on that 40 time ;) - - actually I think we'd probably be happy to have him - but I seriously doubt that's in the cards.

No he works for the Dodgers. He works in LA, but lives in Southlake. He is great guy, and sunshinepreps thanks him for his hard work and for helping us.

He use to work for the Rangers. (The reason the family is in north Texas.) He was an Exec. VP, in the front office. If fact if you kept a recording of the ‘02 State game against SV( didn‘t every one?), you will see him in a side line interview representing the Rangers.
