Offensively, JT is propably the youngest team in 12-5A. There will only be one senior starter on the o-line this year and he is a transfer. Sophmore-to-be RB Kyordric Black, junior-to-be QB Billy "Papa" Thompkins, junior-to-be RB Charlie Jackson will be huge contributers this year on the O side. Defensively, junior-to-be DB Corey Wilson(the fastest player on the team), junior-to-be DB Lakenkdrick wilkerson, and junior-to-be DB Jeremy Biggs will be some JT's top recruits in '09. Man that is alot of youth when you look at it. There are plenty more but these are the ones who are going to play big roles this year. If this year goes well like I believe than '08 and '09 is going to really GREAT years for the folks on the northside of Tyler. If I had to pick who will be on all-district and even all-state- JT QB Billy Thompkins, LB Derrick Choice, LB Chris ratcliff, DT Adren Dorsey, CB Jeremy Johnson, RB Romonte hampton, DB Corey Wilson, and RB Kyordric Black. These kids will most likely be first team and second team all-district. Dorsey, Choice, and Ratcliff could be all-state.

yes i like dorsey. he is gonna have a big year. i dont think he would be playing just one way. i think at some point doing the season. they will have him playing some o-line. i am also with you on those d-backs especially jeramy biggs and cory wilson. JT IS GONNA BE SOMETHING TO DEAL WITH THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS FOR SURE.i like charlie jackson better than any other jt back right now. he has good athletic abilty and speed. because of the youth and the size of the o-line right now i cant put jt as high as lee,longview and mesquite . i know in 08 and 09 we may be saying they are the best team goin into the season. but what i am saying is just speculation about the 07 season. that defense is gonna be a raging plague. if the offense can just come together and not make mistakes and just be consisitent when thay need to be, then buddy we may be lookin at a sleeper. not only for district 12-5 but for the post season 07. good luck cujo.

well i would hope not. that would mean either thier district is weak or is being made out to look weka. ha ha !!! players from other teams has got to get some of those district spots.

noo usually the whole 1st team is katy with 2 or 3 cinco and about 3or 4 from the rest of the district= weak district

these awards are based on team perfomance, not individuals. with that said, they'll load up the team with players that play for playoff teams. i don't think that clearly defines who the best players were over the year, but that's the way it's done.
