Go to

www.city-data.com

Then enter the zipcode in the search box. It returns some pretty useful info. I imagine it would be particularly helpful to people who are planning to move to a city they are not terribly familiar with.

I recently picked the city/area I want to move to after graduation using that site. I think it's awesome.

Percentage of households with unmarried partners:

This zip code: 3.2%
Whole state: 4.4%

Likely homosexual households (counted as self-reported same-sex unmarried-partner households)
Lesbian couples: 0.3% of all households
Gay men: 0.2% of all households

This one surprised me. It seems to me that I see lots of lesbian couples. I guess they just don't live by me...

I noticed that they do not list Hispanics separately, which I find odd. I'm assuming Hispanics are counted as Whites.
