Either one the Cove Dawgs are the most overrated team in highschool football or the Harker Heights Knights are a solid 5a team.


1. Ok are the cove dawgs that bad. How did the Knights even contend. Is it just me or did the Knights barley beat a "mediocore" 4A team and not absolutly povel Stoney Point. The "one man offence" of Harker Heights drove on the Dawgs "stellar D, how pathetic. God how did they not win by 45 like predicted on this site.



2. Ok are the Knights underrated? I would say yes. I think they were even compared to a middle school team on this very site. Man was it just me or did Harker Heights have that game. Did they not have absolute control and 100% of the momentum untill #18 Alexs Colon drops a pass between the numbers which was picked. Hmmm if that ball is caught who knows what happnes. Does Heights score and make it a 10 point game with 9 min. left? I guese we will never know. OH and whos that #10 Donnie Shorts, hes not that good. I think that " one man offence" Dominated the Cove D for 3 quarters untill the momentum was shifted.

Heights is not a worthy oppenent, Cove had a bad game. I would agree with Primetime that the week they had off did not help them at all, and they got to comfortable with where they were sitting in the standings.

Cove out scored heights by 15. Heights did do a little better than I expected but in my opinion heights will still get 5th in district. The dawgs will win district this year and go 7-0 in district play. However, after watching the dawgs play tonight’s game, Converse Judson, Killeen, and the Abilene Scrimmage. I think cove is overrated in the polls and should be more like 13th or 14th in state. There is too many other teams I think are better than us.

OK it's back to junior again, I gave you(scratch that, Heights) credit on another site before reading this one. Give the knights credit for playing one Qtr, without that, it's 35-3 so nuff said there...

Heights played on hell of a game and had several chances to "put it away", but in the end the "one man show" failed...again

I like how Cove can play a game that was worse than that of the way they played Cedar Park last year and still beat a "solid" 5a team by 15. They played pretty bad against Judson and we still won. When you can beat one of the states best or anybody when you play bad, it shows you can contend for a title

first of all, copperas cove outgained HH 228-189 on the ground....but yall did throw for alot more than we did...and im asking...did you play in the game????...i was just wondering...since i was on the field and it was the worst show of class to any team that has came into the Pound....back at the abilene scrimmage, HH wore there jerseys to our came and were mocking us...and when we got the the game yesterday, before we even started pre-game, they were talking out of their minds....the whole game Shorts was talking...He is a hell of a QB but all that talking shadows it up....the RB

Judson was a more than decent team. Copperas Cove played a better game, and won because of it. Cove played a worse game than Heights and still won. You should be happy you only lost by 15, instead of complaining about it. Ask Laredo Nixon and SA Lee fans what its like to have 60 points put on you. Heck, ask me. As a freshman, Spring Westfield beat us 60 something to 30 something. It was very dissapointing.

On the other board, i gave Heights a lot of credit. They played pretty darn good after Cove's first two possessions and controlled the game from that point until early in the 4th quarter. This game could have went either way but Heights made some costly mistakes. These are also kids playing and the mistakes happen at all levels of football. Shorts did ok but was not the one man show for Heights as was the rumor. The running back was quite good adn was hard to bring down. In my opinion, Cove did not play their best game, they started out hot and i think they got comfy and let up. Heights took advantage of this and backed the DAWGS up. Adjustments were made and some breaks went our way and the kids never gave up. The DAWGS pulled it out against a worthy opponent. Heights has some potential and i think they may do well in the district this year. Obviously some fans seem to have a problem due to the passion they have for their team so the only way they can relieve the stress is to get on the site and bash everyone or make excuses. As for the comment about a 30 something person being on a site posting about HS football, i take that as a joke from him. Everyone is on here because we choose to be on here and because most of us did not have the internet when we were growing up. My question for the youngster would be, why are you on the net instead of out on a date if you are in "Primetime"?
If your all that then you would not have time to be spouting off to everyone else on this board. By the way, i have an education, a family, and make good money and i choose to go to this site because i am a die hard fan and love to support my team of choice.

Cove has a lot of potential this year and two out of four games they had to come from behind to win. Both games were against good teams with one being ranked in the top 25 in the state. Weather Judson and Cove had off nights is irrelevant. The game was a battle, full of excitement, and i don't think anyone would complain that they did not get their money's worth. Judson and Cove both should make the playoffs this year. Heights has the opprotunity to get to the playoffs but with fan support like i have seen on this message board, i think their time would be better spent in the classroom getting an education because obviously some prime timers are in dire need.

To all the Heights fans, keep your "Shorts" up and look over your shoulder as you never know what DAWG might be behind you.
