From the times that I have seen them the past few years, Westbrook is not tough enough to make it that far. They are too inconsistent and don't show up every week with their best effort.

Definetly see Katy there, they always are. BWB, not impossible,but i think several schools have a good shot @ being there. Pretty open to me. See a possible match-up of BWB/ G-Ball, in rd. 2.

West Brook's advanced three rounds deep the last two years, so I don't think it's out of their reach to impact the Region 3 race again this year in Division 2. Provided they stay healthy, this could be one of the better teams West Brook has fielded since the late 90s.

Cy Fair and North Shore would both be Division 1 along with Baytown Lee/Cy Ridge/Pearland. Katy and West Brook are the top two teams projecting in the D2, Reg. 3 field. Lee is the only one of the teams I listed above on the D1-D2 fence. The rest are virtual locks to be in their Division.

Either of those teams has just as good of a chance of getting there as all the others do. But, I think at least one of those two get knocked out before the R3 final.:D

i think this matchup has the best chance if you look at the bracket for this year. wb will beat dibie and probably be able rest the starters the entire second half. ball will beat marshall; brook beats ball for what will be their toughest matchup all year with stradford. i pick brook because even though they run the spead their philosophy is to run to set up the pass kinda like ch; which will keep stanford boy off the field. then you have katy vs. west brook a re-match of 1994 a game west brook had in the bag a let their emotions get in the way of a certain state semi-final berth against judson. pay back will be so sweet if the bruins can just learn to trust each other and play "football 101" if this bruin group is and stays disciplined it's no telling how far they could go; they remind me alot of the '06 longhorns. they just have a dynamic running game instead of a dynamic qb.

I have no doubt that Katy will be there, but they probably won't be playing WB. Yes, WB has played 3 rounds the past two years....and got BLOWN OUT in that 3rd round. No way I would start comparing them to CH. That is way out there. I don't think CH would have lost to Channelview. I just haven't seen them beat a physical, well coached playoff team.

Even though G-Ball hasn't played WB and Central in a while, we fared pretty well against them in the playoffs. I think we're 0-3 against Katy in the po's. I like our chances, we'll see who wants it more.

No Beaumont or PA team has ever "owned" G-Ball...cheating?? come on now..to my recollection playoff games were in neutral sites..Pas Mem stadium.. i believe. We havent even played each other in a while...so i dont know where u r getting that nonsense. The only teams that had our # were the Aldine teams, Katy and LaMarque.

well i call it like i see it. in the late 80's and early 90's we played you guys alot; central did as well, and it was always something; i remember i kid got shot at on game and the varsity game was played with no band, fans, just a media hand from each city, uil rep, and the two teams. yea there was some crazy times playing ball high. this was non-district not the playoffs.

To my recollection, it was OUR freshman player who got shot in Beaumont..like on a mon or tues. The varsity game(friday) was closed 2 outsiders for fear of retaliation. Not sure where varsity game was. I was on JV @ the time. @92-93.

that was a crazy time i was in middle school a feeder of westbrook when that happened.

i just remember ball beating brook in the playoffs when wb centered the ball over the punters head in the dome. i was like 9 or 10. they always had athletes; i think brook takes them this year in the second round; and will meet straford in the third round.
