Regular season game?.........doubt it.

2nd round against Trinity?...........good possiblity.

Semi-Final game?

Championship game?

twcpfan1

Most likely - Trinity

Slight possibility - MNW (because it's early in the season breaking in a new HC. Emphasis on slight)

Check this site's pre season top 25. The KT's were good enough to post the schedule of everybody who made the list. Oh btw, if you want to see Carroll's click on team in the number one slot. LOL

I don't why you guys are so hyped up about Trinity. Good team, yes. Do they think they deserve to beat SLC? Of course, just like Lufkin, Katy and SV. Will they? Probably not.

When they play Grapevine both teams have a very good chance of being 8-0. I know its a long shot but we almost pulled off the upset 2 years ago with a team that was not as good as the one we will have this year. When Carroll plays grapevine at grapevine they seem to struggle being 1-1 there when playing the mustangs.

Yeah, there was a lot of breaks that went Grapevines way in that game to give them a chance, Riley D. throwing a swing that was intercepted for a td. That's probably not going to happen anytime this year against GV. But that said, I understand GV is suppose to be good this year. That's great.

Breaks are apart of football. Imagine if Trinty doesnt drop those 3 interceptions last year, one that goes for a TD or if they make that FG in the 1st half or attempted one on their first drive into Carroll territory. Or the fake punt. Breaks are apart of games and as a Dragon fan you should know that.

And those were just the breaks in one game. A part of success is getting some fortunate bounces and being prepared to make those bounces count.

Trinity dropped on at least 3 different occasions chances for interceptions including one that would have been returned for a TD. Go back and watch the game again. Trinity missed opportunities on the defensive side of the ball at some picks.

I do not see Carroll losing before a matchup with Trinity. MNW game will be a good one but I do not see it as a dogfight. Rockwall has a good squad this year and Grapevine will be up this year. This offense is returning too much talent, experience & production and that unit alone will carry this team a looooooooooooong way.

Three different times there should have been Trinity interceptiosn. They didnt capitalize on it. If I felt as you suggested then Trinity shoiuld have had about 2o picks

I dont have the game in front of me. I dont have it out here period. It's back in Texas. That said. I remember two on the Carroll sideline alone. I seem to recall another on a deep ball in the 4th.
As far as #21 goes you can't be serious. Did he ever get flagged for a 15 yarder? Did he ever deliberately have a late hit? If you can't take getting punished then dont be on the field. As I stated, you are the first Carroll poster to present any of these claims so I'll take it for what its worth.

Be cool guy. Trinity was and is a very good team that damn near took Carroll last season. Did Carroll catch some breaks? Absolutely, the Dragons did. What the team has pulled off over the past two decades is very impressive by anyone's standards and the last five years have been stunning. But that calls for some degree of humility on the part of we fans, knowing that it will end someday. I wish it weren't true, but alas it is. You can be very proud of the Dragons and their accomplishments, butkeep it in perspective. Farmer and I can disagree, even about the Red Sox and the Yankees, but despite that, he is a good guy and a real fan of Texas high school football,

What I perceive to be an interception you obviously do not. As I stated there were on 3 occasions from my memory that Trinity should have picked Riley. Two of those were on the Carroll sideline and one of those 3 would have gone for 6. However thats they way the game goes and I will not allow that to take away from the victory the Dragons had. They were the better team by 1 pt and thats all that matters.
O yeah you think the Trinity players showing excitement after making a play is uncalled for well many on here thought the same thing about throwing deep in the game with a huge lead and the starters still in. What say you?

Oh, no question it was a great game, but I have an opinion on what I saw on both sides. Somebody said recently he saw "lots of holding" by Carroll. Ok. Nobody responded to that. Yeah, I saw one play yesterday when watching replay where there may have been a hold, but when you watch the entire game again -- the celebrating on Trinity's side was going on all day. Like someone said a few posts ago, good hit, a stop, congrats, but when the kid is arching his back -- with his hands in air to heaven, playing to the crowd while the officials are moving the sticks downfield another 10 yards, I as a Captain would take this guy aside and say cool it to him, not me.

well.. it was like a 15-20 yard pass, which happend a lot.

but the recievers made plays making them deep. people who never saw the game jsut the stat line, kept assuming we'd throw it 50-60 yards. and people forget we run the spread, so they dont understand the 4 wides, where someone will be open deep type stuff.

Try Permian and Lewisville. 35-6 lead on Permian and a 28-0 lead on Lewisville with under 2 minutes to go. Not saying you guys were wrong. It's football. That would be correct and you had others saying stuff as D08 did. People didnt like it cause its never fun when your team is on the receiving end of a butt kicking. Other people say as long as you have 11 men on the field playing defense then you better be ready to defend anything regardless of how much time is left and what the score may be. As much as other may not agree with or like that its apart of the game just like celebrating when you make a big hit or a great play. The celebrations you saw from the Trinity players were never directed to taunt the Carroll players. They celebrated with each other and went about their own way they did that all year and thats just the way their men play. They get excited, trust me I have seen it from every team at some point or another. Except the 2005 Farmers.

Maybe it's not your comments that are in question, maybe it's the delivery. Unfortunately too many people feel everyone in Southlake is exactly what you have chosen to be on this board. A little decorum goes a long way. You are representing a school, community, and way of life for many. You may want to try to infuse your opinion in a different way. Your opinion is your opinion and that should not be edited. If you want people to agree with anything, be a little more respectful with the delivery. You don't have to kiss the a$$ of anyone on here. You however may want to take a different approach if you want anyone to respond to or discuss your opinion.

We are, in fact, the greatest football team & program of all time. Any time we have a close game it's only to give all you subpar goons a little hope. We intentionally commit turnovers & penalties from time to time to keep folks interested. Long story short, we rule & the rest of y'all stink.;) :D

Oh yeah! We shoulda beat you, and we woulda, if we just coulda.
