After watching some video of these guys its not hard to see why they are considered one of the top units in the state. Brian Ellis, Deron Fontenot, Malcolm Williams and Melvin Stephenson are the saltiest bunch in the state. They abused a very talented South Garland offense holding them to 3 points. Good highlight video of them at http://www.insidehighschoolfootball.com
They are the video of the week on the homepage, just hit the play button and see em in action...Then lets debate, who has the best "D" in Texas. I'd put these guys up against anybody and looking ahead to week 9 what do you think the over/under will be with them against Trinity's offense? I think they can keep the Trojans in the 20's and that will be a monumental task.

They are a bit undersized but fast. They completely shut us down last season. We only scored 11 points, as they fumbled a punt or something to give us the field position for the field goal and then another SGP turnover led to a 4th and 22 at the 37 yard line hail mary desperation pass that was caught by one of our recievers.

Lufkin-best D in the state. I'll be interested to see how many points are scored on them in district.

Oh man, There defense was extreamly fast last year. They were Jets (no match for moody last season though). They are really fast and shut down the passing game (or lack there of at coppell). They are like a flash across the field, I am greatly impressed and i give this defense TWO thumbs up

Does anyone give them a shot against Trinity? I think they have the best chance to keep it close. KT Champ, Supercentex, what do the experts say???

Take it from someone who know's they certainly have a shot. And they speed they showcased is no illusion. The more interesting question is how well will their offense support their defense in tight district play?
