What game the Rockwall vs Mesquite Horn was.

By the way of the announcers sounding like on the INT, the Rockwall and Mesquite Horn players both had the ball as they came down in the endzone which would be ruled in favor of a touchdown for the offensive team, in this case Rockwall. But nevertheless, Mesquite Horn played a great game it sounds like.

Cant wait to see them in Longview next week.

MacArthur/Reagan

Well it wasn't what I was hoping for but you have to give Reagan coaches and their players all the credit. They won 22-20 in a game that Reagan dominated the line of scrimmage. Reagan saw something in game tapes because they opened holes big enough to drive a truck through. I honestly never saw that coming. Greg Jones rushed for at least 210+ and some of the runs he had there was no one within 15 yds of him until he was 20yds down field. Great game plan for Reagan.
Both teams pretty much did what they wanted on offense in the first half but the 2nd half belonged to Reagan. They tighten up their secondary coverage and made it more difficult for the Mac WR's. They shut Mac down in the 2nd half except for one long play at the end of the game that almost cost them but the Reagan defense stepped up and made the stop on the two point conversion.

Great win for Reagan.

Cove is going to start again at their 20 yard line. 14-14.
Cove needs to wake up and make it happen like they started. I think they decided to take a nap. Buckram 8 yard gain, 5 Knights to bring him down. Intercepted by Heights at the Cove 34 yard line. 2 turnovers by Cove in less than 4 minutes.
Heights takes over. Heights scored their 2 TD's in 1:23.
Fumble, Heights recovers, 3rd and 10. Heights was trying to do the double reverse that they scored on last time. Heights is pulling out all the trick plays in the first half. Heights picks up a 1st down at the Cove 21. Heights 1st and goal at the Cove 10 yard line. 6:04 left 2nd quarter.
Im not worried, its nice that this is a close game. Maybe this will teach the DAWGS that they gotta be ready at all times.
4th and goal from the 10. Heights to try a field goal. They call a time out. About a 26 yard field goal attempt. This kicker is the bomb they say. It is good.

Cove receives the kickoff and will start at their 20 yard line, 80 yards to go for a TD.
Heights D has stopped the Dawgs 2 times bringing up a 3rd and 8. Incomplete pass, 4th and 8 @ the Cove 22.
Punt to the Knights 40 yard line.
1st down for HH. 7 yard gain by Books. This RB is looking good for the Knights, hard runner and keeps his legs moving.
False start HH, 2nd and 6. Brooks to the Dawgs 45, 1st down.
Brooks is pounding the Dawgs D right now. Shorts gain of 2. Pass intercepted by Leary of the DAWGS to the HH 44 yard line. 1st down CC. Time for the Dawgs to do something.
Garner to the 40 yard line. Dawgs appear to have a little pep right now. QB draw, Garner to the HH 29 yard line, 1st down.
Incomplete pass to Armstead. Fumble, ball goes out of bounds. 3rd and 13. Garner and Buckram are not connecting on the handoffs tonight. 3 receivers right, QB draw to the 26 yard line. 4th and 7 yards. Cove is going for it. Option Buckram, no blockers and he comes up short. HH takes over, 6:11 left 3rd quarter.

In no way am I underrating Fanuzzi but after watching last night's game. Greg Jones is beginning to be a little bit like Fanuzzi...with all the running he's been doing. Yeah, fanuzzi's a better runner and probably a better passer but the Reagan-Churchill game should be good. Pretty stiff rivalry.

I think it is a joke to even consider where the best football is played. Texas has way too many very good football teams.

I would be willing to bet that in reality there are about 6-8 Texas teams that belong the the National top 25

TOTAL domination by Longview. 2nd string played most of the second half. The Lobo defense is STINGY! Only 2 touchdowns allowed by the first string defense in 5 games. 2nd shutout of the season for the our D!

you are right scoreboard wise it is the second, but for the true Lobo fan we all know this to be the fourth shutout, with the 14 points Lake Highlands score were on the second team d and the 14 ECA scored were on the kickoff return team...it was a great night for Lobo football... but the mission is far from complete, so it is time to plot out our next game and stragety

I'll second that!

That's been my argument the whole time.. National polls are a JOKE !! I've been saying that for years.

If you have a Legit National #25.. 100% no doubt that at least 8 to 9 of those teams should be Texas teams (LEGIT Poll)..

If you put the "LEGIT National #50" teams in a poll. 100% no doubt that about 15 of those teams should be Texas teams..

Ridge Pride...would agree and if you toss in the great 4A programs and also a few 3A programs, our state could occupy about 8-14 spots...I would put Marshall, Lamarque, Ennis, Texas high up against any nationally ranked team not from Texas...you see the way Texas High clubbed previously ranked Evangel Christian 45-10...texas High is 4A

Why is it a joke? Lufkin beating us in the past doesn't have anything to do with this year. Come to watch Longview play and you will see why we are ranked highly. Dont come just to justify the rankins though, come to see just how physical this years team is.
